Earlier in the day when you were texting Jooheon he mentioned how tired he was so you decided to make him some dinner. Everything was going very well until, you decided to get the nicer dishes you had. The only problem with that is that they were on the top shelf of the cabinets.
You could have brought a chair over to the counter and gotten them that way but climbing up on the counter might be faster. Unfortunately, you weren't planning on him coming home a little earlier than he said so it startled you when he started talking to you from the hallway into the kitchen.
"Hi babe! I'm home! What are you doing!?" he said loudly from the doorway into the kitchen.
You ended up falling off the counter while also breaking some glasses which ended up cutting into you a bit. Jooheon rushed over to where you were grabbing something to stop the bleeding.

Hyunwoo had been leaving the gym. It was late, and he was grabbing his towel and bag when he heard the door open. He only glanced up at the noise, wanting to keep his face hidden just in case, but he couldn't help but look up again. He felt his eyes lingering, watching as he put his things together. He knew that it was creepy to stare, but he just couldn't tear his eyes away. Then, surprising himself, he began walking over instead of leaving like he should have. He knew that he needed to at least introduce himself before he left.
Hoseok:
Hoseok was out with Minhyuk. They had planned to go check out a new clothing store then go to lunch. They had just entered the restaurant and sat down at a table. The small restaurant was relatively empty, but a laugh from a nearby table caught Hoseok's attention. The sound made him stop mid-sentence. His mind went blank. All he could think about was finding the person who had produced it. At first, Minhyuk had been confused as to why his friend had suddenly gone quiet. He noticed Hoseok's gaze on the next table, and a smile formed on his face. He nudged Hoseok with his foot, catching his attention. When Hoseok looked back at Minhyuk, Minhyuk motioned for Hoseok to go introduce himself. Hoseok took a deep breath before rising. Maybe if he were lucky, he'd get a second meeting.
Minhyuk:
Minhyuk had stayed late after practice. He had occupied a small room to practice his lines in an upcoming song that the group was producing. To the rest of the group, the lines sounded great. They were still in the early stages, so nobody expected perfection yet, but Minhyuk insisted that he needed to work harder. He had been practicing for a while when he decided he should get some rest before their busy schedule the next day. It was dark out when he left the building, not a person insight. Minhyuk decided to walk rather than calling for a company car since there were no people around who could recognize him. On the way, he passed by a small park. He could hear yelling and laughter coming from a group of people. A voice rang out above the chatter. Kihyun had been out buying some groceries. It had been Hyungwon's turn to go, but the younger had somehow convinced Kihyun to do it for him. Kihyun had been navigating the aisles, thinking of a dish to create to punish Hyungwon for being lazy. He was turning into the next row when he stopped dead in his tracks. Halfway down the aisle, there was a person wholly immersed in their own world. Kihyun smiled to himself, narrowly preventing a laugh from escaping his lips. He hated the thought of interrupting, but he had to meet this person, singing and dancing down the aisles of a grocery store. Maybe if everything went well, he might not have to punish Hyungwon after all.
Hyungwon:
Hyungwon had been lazing around the whole day. He decided that he needed to go out and get some fresh air. He wandered to a nearby park and sat down at a bench overlooking a small pond. There was an identical bench on the opposite side of the pond, where he could see a figure sitting. It was a quiet evening, and Hyungwon could tell that the person was on the phone, and it was not a pleasant conversation. Hyungwon could hear the person's voice becoming more distraught. Even though he didn't know this person, he felt like it was his job to do something. Without thinking, he began walking towards the other side of the pond. Sometimes getting some fresh air didn't have to be a bad thing.
Jooheon:
Jooheon had been out with Kihyun. They were on a coffee run for the whole group. They were staying late at the studio to practice for an upcoming concert. The cold night air was a refreshing change from the stuffy practice room. The walk was quiet. The two didn't speak. As they waited for their drinks, the door to the shop opened. Jooheon had been playing a game on his phone hand had only flicked his eyes up towards the sound. It took him a moment to pause his game and actually lookup. His breath hitched, quickly realizing that he was already beginning to stand to make his way over. Leaving a confused Kihyun behind, determined to introduce himself.
Changkyun:
Changkyun was wandering through a small market. He passed several stands before stopping to look at a few items. He decided to buy some jewelry from an elderly woman, who smiled fondly at him. Changkyun began walking away from the stand, his head was down while he put the jewelry in his bag. As he was closing his bag, he ran into someone, knocking them to the ground. Changkyun immediately dropped down to help the person back to their feet. As he extended his hand, his eyes scanned over them, making sure they weren't hurt. His eyes widened, he lost his train of thought, almost falling to the ground as well. He began to think of ways to start a conversation because even though the run-in was an accident, he knew he had to make the best of it.

“Cleaning up bottles with you on new years isn’t exactly how I pictured this day,” you tell your boyfriend. Your eyes sweep the room and you can’t help but smile at all the glitter, silly hats and polaroids scattered on the floor. After a few minutes of swaying and Jooheon gently rubbing your back you hear him speak. “We made it through another year,” he says. You shift your head to look up at him, giving him a small smile. He returns the smile and places his forehead on yours. “Yeah,” you softly. “Same time and place next year?” your boyfriend asks with a slight smirk on his face. “Sounds like a plan,” you say with a laugh. No doubt in your mind or heart that this is exactly where the two of you will be the following year. Wrapped up in each others arms, dancing to music in the center of your living room. “Happy New Year, baby.” he says followed by a soft kiss to your lips. “Happy New Year,” you whisper into his chest.

You glance at your watch again, still ten minutes till close. The cafe is empty except for you and one final customer. He’s sitting at a table playing on his phone and nursing a cup of coffee. You’ve seen him come in a couple times. To be honest, you look for him everyday, and any other day you would be thrilled to have him stay late, just the two of you. But today you needed him to leave.
After you ask him if he wants anything else, you finish wiping down the machines and cleaning up the rest of the equipment. All you have left to do is wipe down the tables and put up the chairs and wait for him to leave. You check your watch again, closing time. Taking a deep breath, you head back towards the guy. Asking people to leave always makes you uncomfortable, but you don’t have time to wait around for him.
“Sorry, sir, but we’ve closed.” You clasp your hands behind your back and do your best to smile politely.
He glances up from his phone and then around at the empty cafe. His eyes go wide, and you can see his pupils for the first time. He has beautiful brown eyes, and you find yourself drowning in them to the point that you almost miss his apology. He stands up, and you quickly wipe down his table and start to pull up the chairs. As you turn around, you notice that he hasn’t left yet and has started to pull up chairs as well.
“You don’t have to do that.” You protest.
“It’s the least I can do since I’m here after close.” He gives you a smile, and you quickly look away before he can see your face redden. You give him a nod, and he continues.
Once the last chairs are up, you glance at your watch, five minutes after close. You have to hurry. The two of you exit the cafe, and you quickly lock up.
“Have you eaten? There are some really good food carts down this street.” If it were any other night, you would have jumped at the chance. But not tonight. Tonight, you would have to disappoint his hopeful face.
“I’m sorry. I have to go.” You give him a half smile and take off down the street. You break out into an all out run when you round the corner.
Glancing down at your watch, you breath a sigh of relief. You made it with two minutes to spare. After checking in, you head to the bathroom to change. You’ll be going on in 10 minutes. Exiting the bathrooms, you head for the stage where the first set of rappers are battling. You stand near the front of the crowd, sizing up your competition. All too soon, it’s time for you to go on.
You pull yourself up onto the stage and stand opposite your opponent. A flip of the coin shows you’ll start the battle. “Are you ready or not? Cause here we go. It’s yes or no. Do or die. There’s no time to be wasting wondering why. If you choose your future, better study your past. Take note of those words of Confucius because they last.” You continue your rap, and at the end of the battle you come out victorious and advance to the next round. You feel like you’re on top of the world until you find out who you’ll be battling. You’ve gone up against him before and each time he’s thrashed you. You vow not this time.
Except this time, he does it again. You stand on the stage everyone “oh-ing” and “ah-ing” over how well he roasted you. You want the ground to open up and swallow you whole, anything to save you from this embarrassment. That’s when he shows up, the guy from the cafe. He pulls himself onto the stage, and you stare at him eyes wide as he begins to rap. Everything that was thrown at you, he throws back at your attacker. Your opponent attempts a comeback, but his response is weak and the crowd boos him off the stage.
Your hero ignores the cheering crowd and turns to you. “Are you okay?” You can only manage a nod. “You’re good.” He smiles, and you vigorously shake your head.
“No, you’re good.”
He blushes and ducks his head, a completely different person from the man who just unleashed hell a few moments ago. “If you’d like, I can give you some pointers over dinner. That is if you’re not busy.”

Changkyun: He will make silly faces and sound to the baby to make them laugh more. Maybe he;ll even go for a tickle. He just loves his baby laughing!
