Leviathan Benry art doll

he's finally done fjalsdj

took me like a month to make, though some of that time was waiting on supplies to come in the mail (and also to be able to afford those supplies).

his head, hands, and wing claws are all made of cosclay, and the fabric is spandex. he has a fuctional jaw that opens and closes! the majority of his skeleton is plastic doll armature, though his wings are a mix of craft wire and a clothes hanger wire, and his head tendrils have craft wire in them to help hold their shape.

he's about 30 inches long from the tip of his beak to the end of his middle tail, and has a near 40 inch wingspan!

his backbone spines, ribs, collar bone, elbow points and hips are made from shaping hot glue on the quilting batting his body's bulk is made from.

My favorite hc rn is that in a partial monster shift, Benrys anatomy is more plantigrade and it looks awful lol

THINGVRAI - the “Final Boss Fight”

instead of ‘xenrey’, the THINGVRAI au benry has….. whatever you call this. world's worst centaur? sure let's go with that.

wanted thingrey’s 'final boss form’ to be different from the 'final’ amalgamation the alien takes in the movie.

backgrounds and signal flares are hard to draw.

here’s a less obscured picture of thingrey’s 'boss form’ under the cut, because most of the art effort went into him and you can barely see a lot of it with all the snow and lighting effects in the final product, whoops:

Monster Benry 'midform' art doll v2

jfalsdjfsldk i am SO glad to finally be done with this doofus. if you've been following me then you might know i had to go back when about halfway through to frankenstein him together a new wire armature skeleton as the first i used apparently sucked;;;

gave this design a few slight tweaks with making this doll! namely the more elongated face, different length head tendrils, and also he needs a hair cut. in the AU context in which benry's stuck like this, he hasn't exactly had access to scissors for a long time, hence the longer hair.

i am SUPER happy with this new face sculpt. i think it's my favorite part.

it also looks leaps and bounds better than the old one from 2022... which you can see for yourself under the cut here:
