If you like jujutsu kaisen and want a break from the constant angst of the manga but you still want a funny monster fighting shonen then I suggest kaiju no 8. It’s hilarious and it’s been going for less than a year

Sorta spoilers for Kaiju No 8 Anime Only Viewers! If you hadn't finished Volume 3/4/5 of the manga then don't proceed either. Not an accurate estimate btw.

Kafka doesn't talk at all throughout his entire fight with Hoshina. I think the reason why is because the man would recognize his voice despite the distortion. The vice captain was already suspicious that Kafka was hiding something.

Imagine the tasty angst if our himbo actually blurted out 'Vice Captain Hoshina' instead of stopping himself. The only person willing to give Kafka a chance at becoming a Defense Force Officer and catch up to his best friend/Captain finds out the truth. (Definitely hits harder if both are in a relationship before this for you fanfic writers.)

Believe me when I say that people who ship these two have a lot more material as the manga goes on. Unless there's filler, another major arc is coming up with a focus on Hoshina and Kafka. After that the will reunite with the former confronting the latter about his secret. For the hopeful folks, Hoshina is definitely in the same group as Kikoru about discovering his secret.

I can only imagine the 'What If' should Kafka accidentally blurt out that simple title. Hoshina will be conflicted as his hunch was right in the most insane way possible. If he hides such information then he'll get into trouble with the Defense Force once the Arrest Arc happens.

Hoshina is at a much higher rank unlike Kikoru and Reno. That means the consequences are much harsher for him involving such a massive secret. It would be less severe if Kaiju No.9 didn't exist or remains on the loose.

The possibilities are huge, sad and might have a chance for comfort.

In the mini Kaiju 8 version you mentioned that Kafka looks for Bakko to curl up in the sun, in the giant n8 version the one looking for him is Bakko? I imagine it is a comical sight to see a tiger lying on the big Kaiju's head while he enjoys the sun or to take advantage when Kafka turns into the lizard version of a ball, the big cat seeks to stay more in the center to take advantage of the heat. The first time it happens, everyone panics because Bakko entered the quarantine zone an hour ago and hasn't left (it was at a time when they still didn't fully trust him), everyone sets up an operation expecting the worst. Or surprise, all they find is a little ball from which Kafka's half-asleep head emerges, trying to understand why they came in with weapons. The movement causes the big tiger to complain like a kitten because of the cold. Kafka, worried, thinking that he was hurt, He moves enough for everyone to see that the other is half asleep but saved. When Mina forces him out so she can leave, Bakko, even though he obeys, complains the whole way and turns his back on everyone angrily, this lasts while they don't let him back in.

Trust me when I say Bakko isn't the only one who take advantage of Kafka's surprisingly cool body. Birds, lizards and other small animals will perch on his massive body as its a nice comfy spot for sunbathing. Hell even an officer once got reprimanded for sleeping next to No.8.

Wait until he purrs though. It definitely feels like you are on a massage chair.
