Me & my friend @the-commonrose were brainstorming funny scenarios with ocs again. And this was my notes after saying a bunch of silly and/or crazy things with her: "monster princess & huntress wizard duking it out for finn.. but a third contender sneaks in to whisk away finn 🍞" Really wanted to draw that idea since we both had lotta fun thinking & laughing about it. I did the linework & she did the lovely rendering <3

Biting and clawing at the walls of my enclosure: I love monster princesses so fucking much. You need to tell me that this woman was supposed to be treated as royalty and dehumanized the shit out of simply for existing? For being trained to appeal or defy society for so long that she just snaps and goes the opposite way? For coming back or becoming “wrong” by the standards of society? For being treated as a beast to slay and not a person to cherish; someone who’s talked about like they had all the power but in reality had nothing?

(Also not inapplicable to just monster women in general)

I have a fantasy/fairytale story I have been thinking of writing. There is a princess who is traditionally beautiful. But she hates that, she wants to be some type of monster. I haven’t figured out what kind of monster I would want her to be. So she seeks out a witch who gives her a potion that turns her into the monster. Once her turns into the monster, she is happy for the first time in her life and she is free. Someone sees the princess in her new form wearing the princess’s gown, so they think the princess was kidnapped by the monster. So her parents set up parties to hunt down what they think is a monster holding their daughter prisoner, the prince from another kingdom that is the Princess’s betrothed joins the search. The prince finds the “monster” quickly and even though he never met her in person, he sees features of the princess in the “monster” like her eyes and other things because he saw her portrait. Thinking that the prince would reject her the princess becomes defensive, but he says that he thinks she is even more beautiful like this. The two start to fall in love and he helps her show her real self to her family and kingdom, basically I want to do a Prince/Monster Princess fantasy/love story. Also no, the story will not end with her becoming a human again because she loves being a monster and the prince wants to marry his monster princess.

For ONEPUNCH-TOBER day 31: Halloween. Thank you to @lightning-squad for organizing this event! I had a lot of fun :)

One night of the year on Halloween two shapeshifters don their true forms. They dress up every year as the Bride of Frankenstein and his Monster. None play the part as well as they do as their mystical dancing puts everyone under a magical spell. Despite (or perhaps because of) their monstrous appearance, onlookers can't help but comment on their radiant beauty. Many rumors about the pair persist, but those who witnessed them agree there can be only one explanation: Love

I think this is my favourite piece i've ever drawn. It helps to have an iconic piece to work off of.

With the current arc (i finished drawing this the 21st) Beauto has been front of mind. Given that for the Manga ONE and Murata decided to make Do-S his designated love interest. I figured i might as well make use of it since they make a perfect Frankenstein's Monster and Bride of Frankstein respectively.

The dynamic pretty much writes itself. Beauto's somber look reflects his desire to integrate back into humanity while Do-S more hedonist attitudes makes her much more willing to simply enjoy the one night of the year they can freely be themselves.

For the record, i don't think Do-S appearance is her "True Face" or at least not her original one, but since i'm already dressing her up quite significantly i kept her canon appearance because i wanted to keep it clear who i was depicting.

For what it's worth i do think a romance between Do-S and Beauto could be interesting. Beneath Do-S lusting for Amai Mask there is a hint of a desire for emotional vulnerability. Beauto calling her disgusting also seems to strike a nerve. Which gives me the impression her vanity is a shield.

For Beauto's part i think he'd see Do-S as a mirror, which would prompt him to become more than a little obsessed with "redeeming" Do-S as a way to "redeem" himself.
