very likely that im not the first to entertain the idea but i shall anyhow.

my main goal was to pick a fitting word that follows the 4letter yxxi pattern that preferably didnt start with ya or yu

i think the history of it is quite good for something that is normal but subverts the status quo in a positive way- a word that was used in ancient japanese and has now become a valued slangword.

as a simple description it is a term used as a positive reaction

while im sure yaoi or yuri works fine in some cases, i think a specific binary-avoiding term is good!!

additionally came up with some combo terms for either f×nb/m×nb or feminine nonbinary/masculine nonbinary romance- with commentary:

yoki + yuri = yuki (snow)

i think it being sort of poetic sounding fits well as a reflection of yuris own poetic meaning

fallen snow can signify something new and it melting can signify change- some symbolism overlaps with the lily which also works

yoki + yaoi = yaki (cooked over direct heat/fired/tempered)

the most common definition of yaki is cooked, which somewhat fits the negative/lost cause theme of most otaku culture BL words....

however! i think its possible to define it as carefully and diligently heating the growth of love to completion. any craft using fire takes skill and care...
