Idolatry
[ID: Three digital drawings, all shown within a golden, decorative frame. The first shows someone slumped face-down against the base of a statue. The statue is of a woman in loose robes, smiling downwards with her eyes closed as a a bright light shines down from above The next two drawings are both portraits of the slumped man and the woman in the statue, respectively. The man has long, reddish brown hair and stares intently at the viewer. Besides his eyes, his whole face is blacked out and replaced with spinning flowers. He is wearing a white and blue military-like uniform. The woman has white hair tied back, and she looks off to the side, a somewhat sad expression on her face. Her clothes are red and frilly, with a harlequin print on the neck and front panel /End ID]
*sigh* yeah
update: the spawn
i propose the idea of a nonbinary x nonbinary variation of yuri/yaoi !!! my pick? yoki
very likely that im not the first to entertain the idea but i shall anyhow.
this? absolute yoki.
my main goal was to pick a fitting word that follows the 4letter yxxi pattern that preferably didnt start with ya or yu
i think the history of it is quite good for something that is normal but subverts the status quo in a positive way- a word that was used in ancient japanese and has now become a valued slangword.
as a simple description it is a term used as a positive reaction
the below article goes more into detail about it and its history!! (i cant assure the total accuracy of the whole thing but id hope its fine)
Yoki (よき) Meaning: Good, Nice ,Like ,Cool Romaji: Yoki Hiragana: よき Katakana: ヨキ Kanji: 良き If you've ever scrolled through social media or c
while im sure yaoi or yuri works fine in some cases, i think a specific binary-avoiding term is good!!
additionally came up with some combo terms for either f×nb/m×nb or feminine nonbinary/masculine nonbinary romance- with commentary:
