It had been a while since Adam had heard words like that fall from Mercedes’ lips. It hadn’t been since their tryst began, way before they became an actual couple. It wasn’t her ex-husband this time; it couldn’t be. So there was only one reason why she would probably want him to not be around her right now.

“Pam’s in there, ain’t she?” he asked, pointing past his girlfriend; one person who didn’t approve of Mercedes and Adam’s relationship, “I don’t see what the big deal is that she has about us. We’re together. That don’t matter now.”

You could tell from the look on her face that this was the case. Pamela was in there and she (amongst others) have yet to give them a chance (she was the only one who really mattered though) given the circumstances of everything. The worst part about tis all is that Mercedes wasn’t exactly making an effort to defend her relationship right now. “I really don’t think now is the time to try and fight them on this, Adam,” she said with a deep breath passing from her mouth seconds later. “I can meet back up with you later or something? Unless you really wanna deal with this.”

Of course, Braun thought plainly that Sasha was talking about Alexa; he knew how much he hated her, after all. But literally, Braun had already been checking out the blonde’s ass, something that he wouldn’t want the goddess to know. If she didn’t already, that is.

Yet for a quick moment, his eyes shifted towards Sasha, and without thinking, towards her booty, only to glance away almost immediately.

“…Nice.” Probably the most eloquent Braun could be at that moment.

               Sasha might’ve hated everything about Alexa. Everything from her in-ring ability to the lies and slander she would spread to make herself look better. However, that ass was a work of art and Sasha wasn’t going to lie and say it didn’t look nice. “I’m sure she’s taunted you plenty with it,” she said. Sasha then pursed her lips and took a step forward so she could turn and look up at Braun. She slowly shook her head and said something after a small sigh passed over her lips. “You know she’s using you though.” Sasha tilted her head to the side and put her hands on her waist. “You do know that... right? Because why wouldn’t someone want to be on your good side? She’s got you in the palm of her hands and she loves that. Not you. Don’t believe me? Just think of the kind of person she is.”

               “So, what do you think, will they have you cash in on me?” Joe questions Adam, shoving a mouthful of almonds into his mouth and chewing, the crunch distracting even him. It takes him a moment, eyebrow arched, as he looks towards the other man with a small grin, “For some reason, the writers keep continuing to make us wrestle one another,” he teases.

“There’s no one to tell you about and even if there was someone, no, it wouldn’t be Adam. I’m not already dating someone,” she said into the phone with her best friend on the other end. The divorce between Mercedes and her now ex-husband has been finalized last week and there was no going back. She screwed up big time and she had to live with her choices but there was no denying that there might’ve been something going on between herself and someone else - as much as she didn’t want to admit it. Mercedes inhaled a deep breath as Pam continued to speak. “Yeah. I messed up. Thanks for reminding me but what’s done is done. I can’t just go back and not cheat on Sareth. It happened and I just...” she then heard the doorbell rang and of course, Pam had to ask who that was but rather than answering her question, Mercedes told her best friend that she had to go and ended the call there. Adam was given an invitation to come over if he wished before he’d be off traveling halfway around the world to the Middle East for Super Showdown. Black hair was tied back in a ponytail as she approached the door in her Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection leggings and a black t-shirt. She almost looked as though she just left the gym but that wasn’t the case. Not this time at least. The younger female opened the door and saw the much taller and larger man stepping on her doorstep. “Was starting to think you weren’t going to stop by and say ‘hi’ before your flights.”

“He’s in there, ain’t he?”

   Those words were probably the quietest that the bold and brash man had ever uttered. Standing outside of Mercedes’s hotel room door, he had made the decision to come over all on his own. The fact that he couldn’t be there as she put it was just more exhilarating to the man than it had ever been.

“Shoulda told you first,” he tried to blame anything but himself, this time the circumstances, “Damn it.”

She glanced down the hall at the main elevator which visitors to the hotel used to get to and from their rooms. It was almost like she was expecting someone. “No. He’s not in there. Not yet at least. He’s out with some friends but he could be back in a minute or he could be back in thirty minutes. I don’t know,” she said with a deep breath. Leaning back against the door which separated her hotel room from the hallway. Cedes had her hand on her arm as she tried to figure out what to say. Should she tell him to go away? Should she say that they can meet up later? Could they just have a quickie so that she could send him on his way?

Ashley thought last night was amazing and maybe there was a chance of this being more than a one night stand.  Their chemistry seemed perfect and their sex seemed like it was already just right and they were able to find the right rhythm right off the bat... and then the morning after came about and suddenly, everything that she believed seemed to be wrong as Adam was in a rush to get out of here. “Hey. Whoa. Wait for a second,” she sat up as she quickly blurted those words out to try and slow him down. The sheet was held to right above her chest and she furrowed her brows.  “Why are you in such a hurry to get out of here? I wasn’t that... bad... was I?”

   A deep exhale from Adam’s nostrils as he remained on the phone with the woman he had intentionally ruined the marriage of. The last time they had any communication whatsoever, he was plastered and said some things he probably shouldn’t have.Revealed some things he probably shouldn’t have. In fact, he was pretty shocked she answered whatsoever. “Sober as a dry well,” was his gruff answer, “Y’told me to not say anythin’ to you if I wasn’t. Well, here I am.”

CEDES WAS READY TO END the phone call at a moment’s notice. One wrong move and she was going to cut him off and move on. She wasn’t even sure why she was giving Adam this chance. Maybe there really was something going on between them which her bitterness refused to acknowledge. She had better things to do. Maybe Mercedes enjoyed being in his presence. Mercedes took a deep breath and spoke into the device. “Are you going to explain why you said certain things to me when you were drunk? Because I keep thinking about them and I can’t get your damn messages out of my head,” she cut straight to the point and asked the question since it was the thing that weighed the heaviest on her mind.
