Monstropunk: an identity that reclaims and empowers the feelings of being monstrous/disgusting/evil.

Short for "Monstrositypunk"

Ideals:

Love (of all kinds)

Freedom of self and expression

Acceptance and empowerment in negative emotions such as anger, sadness, and fear

Acceptance and empowerment in being mentally ill (especially if you have one of the "scary" mental illnesses that are commonly demonized)

Rejection of societal standards and expectations

Being unashamed of who you are and loving yourself unconditionally

Traditional punk ideals (anti-capitalist, anti-fascism, anti-bigotry)

Flag & Symbol:

Aesthetic: Anything nasty, disgusting, evil, and/or taboo!!! this can be combined with any other aesthetic (i.e. as lovecore or circuscore) while still being monstropunk!!! make it personal to you :o)

Monstropunk is pro:

Minority rights, minorities hating their oppressors

Xenogenders, neopronouns, contradictory labels, alterhumans

Endogenic and plural in general

Healthy anger, healthy spite, healthy negative emotions

Abolishing/defunding the police, abolishing fascism/capitalism

Mental health and mental illness acceptance/awareness

this is an identity that is similar to alterhuman but does not require one to actually identify as inhuman. it is a lifestyle and perspective, as well as an aesthetic!!!

i dont think youre annoying!!! and like. making people uncomfortable is part of living on this planet with other beings, yknow? sometimes people get annoyed or miscommunicate or get uncomfortable, but thats okay. its part of the experience. you have nothing to feel bad about for just posting and being yourself (sorry if this is out of line or doesnt make sense, im having a weird day aksjskdkd) /gen /pos /nm

I think I would have reacted much worse (in terms of anger) if I was in better mindset. It seems I got pretty fucked up with dissociation and unreality to think properly lmao.

Also, no, this is a big deal for me. I've never kept people beside me for more than a month or a bit more, with some exceptions (Like two of my friends rn). I got serious trauma about interacting with people, I have NO idea how to talk, how to interact, so when that happens - of course I would react very badly. Most of the time however it's pure wrath. But when it's someone who I do care about - this is going to break me for week at least. Plus I am not forgetting and pointing out The way I had to educate and develop myself, purely to cope with my environment. I've never been here, I've never encountered people like here. People around me are insensitive and I had to learn to be aggressive, learn to fight with teeth and blood for my self-esteem, why I have no empathy and don't care about anyone, even if I don't want that. I am aggressive even when I don't want to, I hate everyone even if I don't want to, I say what is not necessary even if I don't want to. I can trigger people. Even if I don't want to, and never will.

Never having real, comfortable interaction with people is maddening, to say the least. There were too many errors, I don't want that happening ever again.
