Homebrew Race: Eldritch
Who doesn’t want to sprinkle a little tendrils into their game and have a dramatic reveal to the party that their companion is not human at all, but a monster spawned in the depths of void? Just me? No?
The short lore only suggests what their origin might be in my setting, if You wanna make them spwan vof kraken, space shapeshifter, escaped experiment or mutated warlock’s child it up to You and Your DM
Eldritch
Eldritch are mysterious creatures that fall into the world from the void between stars. It is not known how they survive the impact or where they originate from, but their elusive nature and ability to hide between people makes them hard to find and most don’t even know of their existence.

You have only one shape into which you can turn. You can change what it looks like, when you finish a long rest, but afterwards can not do it for a week. If you try to pass as a different creature, an Intelligence (Investigation) check contested by your Charisma (Deception) check, can be made to reveal your mimicry. The extra limbs can hold and interact with items and provide spell components, but may not be used to make weapon attacks, use shields, nor grapple.
