Weird theory time responses are encouraged.

But I know cats are really smart there's alot of evidence opening doors, sensing cancer and emotions ect, but they constantly fail the mirror test where octopus show some recognition of themselves.

But many cultures believe cats are guardians of the unseen and spiritual worlds, even other dimensions while dogs are guardians of the physical world.

So what if the reason cats fail the mirror test and react as if there is a threat isn't because they cant recognize themselves but mirrors are supposed to be portals thus why mirrors are covered at funerals so they don't trap the soul, but that they see whatever is on the other side of the mirror and are trying to scare it off?.

Random deep thoughts when I should be sleeping because I read a article earlier where it said cats fail the mirror test. 😂😭
