*befriended a bossy girl who asked me to hang out after school. i've always been bad at saying no and so we spent the afternoon watching cartoons at her house until her mom came home from work (late). "do your parents know where you are?" reader, they did not. police were doing grid searches in fields at that point. my description was on the news 🫣

What's black Chicago food like?

yeah p much lol we eat the typical fried chicken, collard greens, mac and cheese, rice and peas etc.

we also love southern style barbecue, particularly rib and turkey tips

im an outlier but its a black chicagoan thing to eat fried chicken, be eat legs and wings or chicken tenders with mild sauce, other states call it mambo sauce and the best way i can describe it taste wise is if hot sauce and barbecue sauce had a baby. harold's chicken and uncle remus are THEE chicago chicken joints.

we also like the occasional chicago style hot dog ( mustard, relish, onion, peppers, NEVER ketchup). i myself can definitely gulp some glizzies.
