I love finding people with the same savagely protective instinct towards Ben Hargreeves as me
Same here - he deserves and (frankly) needs it!
(Like, I know that we need to keep in mind that all the Hargreeves kids are emotionally messy, multilayered, complex people and to reduce them to Precious Smol Goods or Bad-Evil-Demons flattens out both their characters, and any impact the themes of the show may have on the viewer - which may well could lead to a conversation about the consequences of how you were raised, and how trauma can mess you up, and other topics that need these multilayered, complex characters, and nuanced views and discussions in order to effectively have these conversations.
but Ben Hargreeves’ bank scene/introduction made Something in me immediately want to bundle him into a blanket, start a Ben Hargreeves Protection Squad, and give Reginald Hargreeves a good old fashioned Kicking)
