Someone's pretty excited for the 1st moo moo Sunday of the year 🐮 #moodays #mootwo
I've been bad, I haven't been posting on Moodays lately. I'm rather sorry about my neglect. I hope this original from Moullinex will make up for the regret. The funky lullaby called Sunflare reminds me of my first love and the joy of those days. Young and carefree as we shared each day with love. Yet, I knew it wouldn't last. I am saddened by the memory of how it ended. Happening in a flash, I knew not how to react. Now it seems so long ago. Things have changed for I have a new love that shows no sign of stopping. It's a lot like Sunflare, I keep playing it over and over again. Never to end.
Talk about major remix power! Here we have the classic Shotgun Radio's A Bad Place featuring the lovely Mimi Page, remixed by the talented Minnesota, and remaster by the only Bassnectar. It would be harder to find a better team in any other field of expertise. On a side note, Shotgun Radio are one of my favorite duo acts that have ever existed. It is quite sad that they don't have the same clout as Bassnectar and Minnesota, because they deserve most of the credit for this amazing track. Bias I may sound, but it isn't uncommon that the originators are out shined by those that reimagine their work. Rant over, lol. As for this mix, it is beautiful. Taking the listener to a new dimension of peace and understanding. The honest words from Miss Page are endearing and innocent as the drum n' bass enhance the senses and excite the mind. Taking a fresh song and evolving it is what this whole business is about. Minnesota and Bassnectar have done this and more.
I don't believe in finishing off with a weak link. Jacques Greene is most assuredly more than that. Taking the seductive vocals from Miss Kelly Rowland's Motivation, he takes the original to new heights. Echoing tones and panning synth gives the lowdown some wings. Memories flood in as past experiences of passion spark flames of determination. My love is always on my mind. Motivation is not their intention, but it is the result that keeps me moving forward. Let the good times keep you lifted, even when reality wants to hold you to the ground. Happy Mooday guys.
