The Artist Who Painted Silence
Our art-river carries us from the stormy marine expanses of Aivazovsky to completely different shores. After all that power and drama, one longs for silence. And here he is, our new hero — Isaac Ilyich Levitan (1860-1900), a master who didn't just depict nature, but made it speak in a whisper.
If Aivazovsky is a thundering ode to the elements, then Levitan is a lyrical poem, full of luminous sadness and unspoken thoughts. He is that very companion with whom silence feels more comfortable than any words.
Ready for a walk through an autumn forest and a conversation about eternity? We set off on our journey next week.
