After All Might gives Izuku a much needed reality check, he has to find a new dream. When he learns that the support course at UA offers an emphasis in Intelligence and Analytics, it sounds like the perfect new passion for him to throw himself into. Who knew? Maybe Hero Analysis for the Future was never meant for his future as a hero, but for his future helping heroes...
Midoriya joins the support course as an analyst, becomes best friends with Hatsume and Shinsou, and becomes a badass all in one fic. Support Course Izuku is personally one of my favourite tropes so I am shamelessly advertising that here.

Okay, in hindsight, Izuku really should have thought this through. He could’ve at least checked the weather before he decided to run off. But no, his first thoughts were, grab the notebooks, set of cloths, and run.
Alternatively: Izuku runs away, Keigo gains a little brother in the process.
Hawks pseudo-adopts and then for-reals-adopts Izuku! This fic really does have a little bit of everything.

Aizawa Shouta gives out his number to his class for emergencies, in the hope that they never call. He wants some peace and quiet with his husband, thank you very much. However, a late night call for help from his number 1 Problem Child gives him a startling discovery about his home life and drags everyone onto the path to healing. Follow Midoriya Izuku as he deals with the frequent dangers of Class 1-A while discovering the true meaning of family along the way.
Ok so in this one, hear me out, Aizawa ends up adopting Izuku instead of Hawks! Who would’ve thought that I would recommend a dadzawa fic. I’ve never recced one of these before I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Law-Abiding Citizen by House_of_Thorne [Completed]
Bakugou Katsuki has very little chill, this is a known fact. He does however, do his best not to get into legal trouble. Bakugou Katsuki couldn't get along with Midoriya Izuku if you put a gun to his head, this is an even more well known fact. Apparently someone decided to chew up those facts and spit them back out because that was definitely not the case in this very moment and christ almighty someone's going to have to pinch the entirety of Class 1-A, because this had to be a fever dream.
Or alternatively: Deku's dad is back in town and nobody is happy about, especially not Bakugou.
Bakugou is still and asshole but at least he’s not one that condones child abuse? I, for one, am partial to Bakugou redemption fic but for those of you who really hate bakubabe this probs ain’t for you!

Izuku Midoriya's close friends have known almost since the beginning that there is more than determination, kindness, and a powerful quirk that make him a great hero. Now, when an innocent school assignment reveals more about him to the teachers than he is comfortable with, it's time for the rest of the world to know as well.

The cold seeped through his uniform as Izuku crawled to his feet, ice pooling in his bones-where were his shoes? “Hello?” Silence, save the rhythmic tap of the rain. “Come on! This isn’t funny!” Was this even a prank? It wasn’t very funny-though a lot of pranks weren’t when the joke was on you.
There's a new vigilante in town. The news dubs him Specter. Eraserhead wants to know who this "ghost" is... and why the kid keeps following him (and his new class) all over the city. Nedzu wants a new student. Bakugou Katsuki wants redemption. Midoriya Izuku wants one more chance to change his mind.
SUICIDE WARNING! I would not say this is the most happy series, there is definitely some angst, which if you’re here for that then this is for you! But if not then you might want to steer clear. Unexpectedly, this made me really like Best Jeanist as a character!

Izuku had always wanted to be a hero. And he had the support to do so until his father died in a lab accident. After that, Izuku is left to fend for himself and continue to strive for his dream. When that dream gets brutally crushed by his hero, Izuku is left spiralling wondering what he can do with his life.
What if Midoriya joined the support course instead of heroics? And becomes best friends with Hatsume Mei along the way? Find out in this (one of many to come probably) ever-so-slightly-to-the-left AUs!

Aizawa Shouta just wanted to sleep, but now he's on a wild goose chase to find the author of the books that could take down all of hero society in the wrong hands.

Aizawa goes to great lengths to find Izuku, but Izuku goes to great lengths to leave his analysis behind, becomes a vigilante in the process, and represses his emotions. All the while, Tsukauchi just needs more coffee.
Vigilante Izuku? Check! Dadzawa? Check! Dadmic? Check! A classic Midoriya befcomes a vigilante fic with a few twists and turns along the way!
the bridges you burn Series by okayantigone [Ongoing]
izuku knows he can't be a hero. even all might said so. and therefore -
“is there… a job i can do, where i don’t have to disclose my quirkless status?” he asks.
“well,” the guidance counsellor says, “i mean, government employees don’t normally disclose their quirk status. it could pose a security risk. so if you wanted to go into civil service…”
and so, izuku starts an internship at the hero public safety commission.
writer: IT’S MEANT TO BE IN LOWERCASE me: ok then This has some prime angsty analyst Midoriya content! If you like smart but depressed Izuku then this is right up your alleyway. I have read every single installment in the series so far and have enjoyed all of them!
Gold Star for the people who can figure out which AO3 canonicals I filtered by with these fics. They’re a depressing bunch but I believe they’re worth reading!

Midoriya Izuku has always been written off as weird. As if it's not bad enough to be the quirkless weakling, he has to be the weird quirkless weakling on top of it.
But truthfully, the "weird" part is the only part that's accurate. He's determined not to be a weakling, and in spite of what it says on paper, he's not actually quirkless. Even before meeting All-Might and taking on the power of One For All, Izuku isn't quirkless.
Not that anyone would believe it if he told them.
Midoriya sees ghosts and kicks ass! An interesting take on a popular trope, it definitely fits into the world of quirks! There’ll be a lot more of these types of fanfics in future recommendation posts for sure!
