1. Your favourite non-canon ship?Forever and ever love Celes/Setzer :D I'm a sucker for non-canon ships. I'm like an admiral with my fleet of ships, but this is my biggest one.

5. What is your most fluffy + happy ship?Oh geez, I rarely do fluffy or happy ships. I'm all for drama and hurt/comfort. I guess all of them have bouts of happy and fluff? I do love me some Pharah/Mercy fluff. They're super precious together. Not exactly video game related, but I just want Rei/Minako from Sailor Moon to be happy forever.

10. Is there a ship that makes your skin crawl?A handful. I'm relatively open to a lot of ships, even if it's not my thing. Celes/Kefka really makes me flinch, though. Same with Cloud and either Aeris or Tifa to some extent. I'm also not a fan of Anders from DA2, so anyone shipped with him and I'm just like... no. 

16. Is there a ship that made you realise something about yourself?Not really? Probably way back in the day when I was super bitty. Like all the f/f ships that clearly weren't canon. Because girls. Mmmm.

17. Is there a type of ship you always go for?Usually anything that's enemies to lovers or general hate/love relationships. I dig the tension and drama. It's delicious.

What is the first fandom you were ever a part of?

Thinking in terms of like, actually interacting with a fandom/community, it was probably Warrior Cats back when I was 11-12 years old and exploring the internet for the first time LOL. There were soooo many fansites made with for that fandom back in the day that had little chatboxes.

There were so many made by the same website maker... the name of it escapes me though.

2. Most recent fandom you joined?

Probably Fields of Mistria, though I haven't contributed anything to it (yet).

8. Fandom you’re a part of that’s the most obscure?

Probably both Shining Force and Radiata Stories, two of my all time favourite games. Even thought the games themselves are obscure, they both have small but dedicated fanbases.

Radiata Stories has an active community with a Discord server run by my buddy @/algandarsplaguepositive. I run a Shining Force blog that I neglect to keep updated, but I know there are other active members of that community, including Moogie who runs Shining Force Central and @/claire-starsword who has been translating Japanese literature, articles and publications about the games.

14. Fandom you keep returning to?

Like the last question, it's usually Radiata Stories and Shining Force. I engage with other series, but go through periods where I come back to those games.

I never finished my last runs of either of them though... I need to do that. 😭

21. Favorite fic trope?

Search and Rescue coupled with Hurt/Comfort... Character A ending up in some kind of peril and Character B going through all the emotions trying to get them back, and then the comfort when they're reunited... 👌👌👌👌👌

6. If you’re really concentrating, how many words can you write in a day?

my maximum is like 8.6k i think. i have done 10k+ twice before but as the words were 100% unuable afgterwards i don't officially count either of those times as my finally breaking that sweet 10k barrier. SOMEDAY.

7. Which part of writing do you struggle with most?

TWO THINGS. firstly, editing. editing is my eternal enemy. i really love to write but part of the joy in that is reaching new parts of the story. what a DRAG it is to have to go back to the old parts!!! it's not as bad when i'm finished with the draft but sometimes i have to stop and fix certain mistakes before i can move forward.

secondly, arguments. in real life i'm quite conflict-averse and i don't like starting or participating in arguments unless i'm 200% sure the other person has it coming, so i find difficult in writing characters being shitty to each other because of bad moods or rough days or whatever, or even for bigger interpersonal conflict reasons that are often important to stories. i'm getting better but it's still definitely a weak point. i'm so strongly drawn towards conflict resolution that i just keep doing it by accident in my fics!

19. Who is the easiest/hardest character for you to write about? Why?

easiest is almost certainly the protag from my undisclosed story. i know him quite well and his voice is effortless. jesse turner and dean winchester are also like this. hardest is for SURE claire novak who is so purposefully unknowable that i struggle with her pov every time i sit down to work on it. i also have a bit of a hard time with castiel - he's got so many conflicting personality traits that have been given to him over the course of the show that you're sort of forced to settle on just a few and it never feels like The Whole Cas. like the Real Cas do you know what i mean? that's why even tho i'm a cas girl at heart most of my spn fic tends to be dean centric.

1. First console you’ve ever owned?

The NES, but I played with the SNES first.

2. First game you played?

Final Fantasy VI when I was like 4-5 years old. I played the coop mode with my father ;P

4. Longest consecutive hours you’ve played a game?

Without any small break ? I’d say maybe 3h-4h. I have a dog and before him I had another one so I always have to bring him to his walk or to play with him :P

5. Game with the best soundtrack?

It’s very hard because many games have beautiful soundtracks, particularly Final Fantasy games, but I have to go with Final Fantasy XV. it’s just so beautiful and Stand by Me always gets me. ♥

10. Prefer PC or console?

Always console! I’m used to it, and I prefer to play on my TV :P

14. Do you watch playthroughs online?

Nope :)

Lavender: Name something that relaxes you.

Sea-air, with that salt and cold tang that you only get when the wind is just right. Fresh fallen snow in orange sodium lights. The cold, that brittleness in the air that makes your lungs hurt just enough to remind you that they’re still there, that you’re still there.

Roots: How do you ground yourself or recharge?

That...I’m honestly not sure of. I mean, when I was in Iceland, I’d just go to Seltjarnarnes and stare at the sea for a couple hours.

Rainstorms: What helps you fall asleep?

Rainstorms. I like the sound, the constant susurrating beat of water on windows and

Storms at the coast. The Atlantic, grey and whipped into foam, slamming against sea-walls and sending mountains of spray into the air, the sky itself trying to collapse in on you. Rain and wind and sea all competing to remind you of your insignificance compared to them, and yet you still remain, you let them wash over you and still remain there, remain alive, remain you.
