A photo of pudgy Lou that was up on eBay. This was the stretch of touring he did post-Tots, with the Moogy Klingman band. That’s "Buffalo" Bill Gelber on bass and “Chocolate” on drums.

This photo was bought at an estate sale in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The date stamp on the edge of the photo indicates May 1973 [the date the photo was developed, not taken]. Testimony indicates the most likely setting for the photo is Reed’s January 29, 1973, appearance at Humpin’ Hannah’s, a (now former) music club on East Locust Street in Milwaukee. Others have guessed it was taken at a show he played at Marquette University’s Brooks Memorial Union on May 3, 1973. A newspaper account of that show refers to Reed as ‘pudgy in a black leather jacket.’”
