@moombaliberator was the very first FFVIII blog I really made an effort to reach out to, to plot something to get my footing and establish some sort of a relationship. I didn’t expect it would turn into such a wonderful (and painful) ship, but I’m really glad it did.
I can’t thank you enough for welcoming me so openly when I was first starting here. Without you, I don’t know how long I would have lasted. Maybe I wouldn’t be here now, either. But I am, and so are you, and I can say with great confidence that I love this fandom even more because you’re in it. You made me even more certain that picking Selphie up and bringing her to Tumblr was the right decision.
I have remained steady in this fandom for so long because you helped me find my place in it, and no matter how many times you have to step away, know I will always be here to welcome you back. <3

“Hey! Hold still.” She sounds amused more than anything else, but if she’s to help heal his leg, he really does need to quit squirming around so much. “It’s a cast, seriously. I’m not putting you in prison.”
She shoots him a look, warm and somewhat commanding, before placing her hand back at his ankle to try and finish the job.
“I’ve had children sit still better than you are.” she says, not at all unkindly.

It seems to be sheer dumb luck that his table is occupied on this particular night as she passes by, although perhaps she has been hopeful to see him again, even if just one more time. She’s pleasantly surprised, if nothing else.
Laguna’s choice of phrase makes her laugh, but she still doesn’t try to correct him, focusing instead on trying to make the most of this unexpected meeting while she can.
“Maybe we were. I’ve been playing a little earlier lately, too.” She pauses, gesturing to the open space in the booth with the stem of her wine glass. “May I?”

Squall still couldn’t control the memories (dreams?) that came to mind when Laguna was around.He’d seen snippets of the man’s life he couldn’t quite describe, and certainly had no plans to.
So to see him in Squall’s own office, the Commander could only pinch the bridge of his nose and try not to sigh. “Why are you here?” It was something between a more polite, more presentable ‘how can i help you’, and the words he’d been more accustomed to, ‘what do you want?’.
