Moon over Miami ... ?
Another thing I like about taking pictures: the little bombs; the images I didn't know I captured.
Sure, I have a good idea of what I'm going to see when I remove the SD card from my camera and slide it into my MacBook. But sometimes my camera takes the initiative. It surprises me.
On Tuesday night I walked out onto the deck of our lake house and noticed the moon shining through the young leaves of an oak tree. I grabbed my long lens, pointed it skyward and hit the shutter button a few times.
Of the half-dozen shots, five showed a standard moon over Cheboygan. And then there was the one you see here. In fact that isn't a palm tree set against a tropical moon; it's an oak twig set against a northern Michigan moon.
The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" Japanese novelist "Natsume Soseki" wrote this phrase "the moon is beautiful" to express the love and that's equivalent to "I Love You" in Japanese.
