I absolutely love how we, as a society, are so normal about posting the Moon even when she looks like just a blotch of light in our photos. Like. No the quality of the photo doesn't matter. The subject of the photo and the love behind it does.

I have always loved the moon but it’s never been quite right. it has always been a little too grotesque. a little too brutal. I’d bite myself off to feed to her if I thought it could make her always whole. that’s the problem with this love that consumes blindly. even so waned that she’s nearly fallen from the sky she is so irrevocably herself, only a fool would tell her she isn’t enough.
