my ask box is actually kind of dead and i only have 2 mark reqs so i'm being very overdramatic about it LMAO ofc i am very glad to write about mark bc i love him so much but i also know my adhd will make my hyperfication on him crash and burn if i'm not careful and i refuse to deprive my fellow markfs of good mark fic so i'm gonna try to space out writing him as best i can
but anyways ! lovers' advisory is going to be a social media au. the primary genre would be romance with a couple of extra little tropes, namely neighbors to friends to lovers, guys falls first and harder, and mutual pining. i'm currently in the process of outlining it !
essentially, the reader is an assistant at the local public library for the summer and mark, one of the reader's new neighbors, comes to the library with jaemin one day because he needs to print something out but doesn't have a printer. of course, mark is very smitten with the person who looks so pretty shelving books in the stacks and thus, he starts coming back as often as possible, asking for book recommendations, despite not being a reader.
for my newer followers, i actually work as an assistant at my own local library and i can't help but write stuff based on my own personal situations LMAO. the title, lovers' advisory, comes from a librarian term called readers' advisory, which essentially is just the practice of recommending books to readers based on their interests !! i'm super excited to work more on it and i hope markfs and other czennies are excited to read it :>
