GARNET: Do you tend to constantly doubt yourself?

All the time. Learning languages is hard for me, as I was born with a hearing loss. Even a hearing aid doesn’t help completely. I’m constantly wondering if I really should be learning Japanese when I’m just... so bad at it. I mean I should compare myself to the Chinese students because they really do have an unfair advantage, but it’s difficult to remember that when one of them brags about “I don’t have to take this final, I can just get an A-.”

TOPAZ: Are you somewhat of a control freak?

“A little. I don’t like anyone touching my things. My brothers have had a bad habit of doing just that.” She huffed and crossed her arms.

In certain situations, I guess. When people make me the leader of the group, I’m a control freak. I like to arrange things just so in my room when I clean it. I dunno, maybe.

Operation Mi'ihen was a disaster. Once again, Sin had demonstrated power absolute.The party had been silent from when they left the battlefield until they decided to stop and make camp, the events of the day weighing heavily on all of them. 

But none moreso than Yuna.

Braska once told him that Sending never got any easier, no matter how many times one had performed it before. And today, Yuna danced for hundreds. Crusader, Al Bhed, it mattered not who fell on those killing fields, only that they had died, and it was her duty to guide them to rest.

The summoner sat apart from the others, looking out over the sea. Silent. Do I even have the right to offer solace, after being gone from her life for ten years? But then who else will, shellshocked as they are after this day?

His footsteps loud enough on the stone that he wouldn't startle her, Auron walked up beside Yuna and laid a hesitant hand on her shoulder. "You did well today."
