Day twenty two: Style
Cute goth is a way I like to style myself, so it’s not at all surprising that it’s bled over into my dolls. Both of these two were bought for the customization of other dolls, but I ended up liking them so much they’ve stayed as is.

These are all the new LOL OMG dollies I got myself for my birthday (with the exception of the first two anyway, I got those a couple weeks before 😏) 🎂
my first proper LOL OMG doll! (not counting BTWs) 🌛
my moonlight bb doll who no matter what filter or lighting I use has overly saturated hair 💙
I’m not a big lol omg collector; usually if I really like the outfit and they are very deeply discounted, then I might get one to harvest their clothes for other dolls, but I saw moonlight bb for $14 at a liquidation store and definitely had to have her!
A couple things I’d like to note:
*while the fashion is epic, especially in detail and fabric textures used, they did fly a little too close to the sun with the body suit underneath… When I undressed her to wash out the gel in her hair (not a fan that I have to keep doing this with mga dolls most of the time) I noticed that she was already stained from it :/ I think it’s bc they used the (unpleasant in my opinion) rubber legs, which absorbed the excess dye; additionally, it had a large hole in the side of it.
*the plastic ‘chain’ on the purse is incredibly sticky, but I was able to remove it and turn it into a crossbody bag with a real chain fairly easily
I’m tempted to change her eyes so she doesn’t look like she’s my cat who got into some catnip or a funko pop/Betty boop hybrid, but haven’t really quite figured out what I’d do differently or if it’s worth going through the ordeal of undressing and redressing/styling again after a face up. If you have her in your collection and have altered her eyes or lips, I’d like to see it n_n I’m also considering painting the rims of her sunglasses black bc I think it would match a little better.
