Moonlight Ghost
A little pic I drew of Moonlight Ghost for LillaDraakon.
The game says the Red Witch is a "Guest from Death Village". Is that another game, some sort of story, or...?
Death Village is a canceled game about the Red Witch's past; despite her appearing in many of tachi's games, it's her earliest appearance chronologically. Candy Lix was going to be a supporting character in that game, so she's also considered a cameo from there.
The Red Witch's timeline goes like this: She burns down her home village and becomes legendary for this. Later, the Reaper Keros comes along and revives the people there as zombies, so she has to kill them all... again. H&D and some tweets tachi made imply that Candy Lix betrays Red Witch along the way and tries to hook up with Keros in the end.
About a century later, in HeadLess (a completed game, but not one I bothered to translate), Keros gives Erina "Reaper Eyes" and she kills several people. The Red Witch is watching all this, stops him, and manages to revive everybody, but at the very end there's a scene of her kinda-sorta flirting with Keros??
Shortly afterward, she decides to help Boy in Moonlight Ghost, calling herself just "Witch" for a chance of pace. Then once the Horror Shop is running smoothly, she gets summoned in Hero & Daughter. Talk about a busy schedule.
Moonlight Ghost
Moonlight Ghost is a "reverse horror game" by tachi made in RPG Maker VX Ace. This ends up making it a level-based high score arcade puzzle game. But not actually horror.
A reverse horror game, where you do the horror! It's up to you, the player, to scare people! It's a somewhat odd adventure game with four chapters in all.

Tachi you liarrrrr Not a huge update, but it adds two things: - A Training Room where you can practice missions map by map, and toggle a grid which shows the exact range at which barrels and pots will be heard. Of course, it won't actually save the scores you get. - A new mission if you get to Shop Level 20 and have beaten (not necessarily S-ranked) Mission 23. This one sort of goes hand-in-hand with the Training Room, because while it's short, beating it demands getting the absolute most out of what you have. Incidentally, the Mission 24 character is voiced by someone called Rurima who offered to voice for Tachi. And since I guess I never mentioned it here, Tachi revealed earlier that he provided all the voices except for Girl, Witch, and now that character. All of them. (Especially Spirit Queen.)
So I was walking around in Moonlight Ghost and I found this!!
tachi updated Moonlight Ghost to make various bug fixes and additions to the post-game scenario. The changes are as follows: - Girl and Witch now have dialogue up to Friendship Level 25, and you get result art for reaching that level. (Unfortunately, if you load a save past where the old conversations ended, you'll miss some, and you can miss the art if you went past 25.) - There's a bunch more result art. Some of it is from the capsule machine, but some is hidden around town. For example: Remember the curtains in Hello? Hell... o? - Every use of the capsule machine also adds 1 max HP. - Like the main story missions, you can now lower the final bonus mission's quota if you keep failing it - however, you're rewarded with result art for beating the original quota. - The town randomly picks a weather every time you go out, which affects the HP lost when moving between maps and your EXP multiplier. - Base EXP gained is now 20 instead of 10. - You only have to get to Level 30 for max Pow instead of 50. The effect of it is also made visible, instead of using the same small circle. Also, a bunch of the links between areas in town should be fixed. Hopefully that's all of them... Save files should carry over, but if they don't, your best option is to start a new game and keep the Down key held until it takes you to the Story Select with Work Story unlocked.
I DID IT
I WON THE FINAL MISSION I IDID IT AAAAAAAH
for all of you people playing moonlight ghost (you ARE all playing moonlight ghost, yes? i thought so), here's what i've basically spent my whole friday night on: a map of the ridiculously large and confusing town featured in "work story" (and i guess the whole rest of the game too)
i might go back and make a new version with important landmarks highlighted etc., but who knows. its not like there's a whole lot in this place, besides some witty dialogue and cameos, anyways
here's a full res. version because the original is something like a whopping 10000 x 6000 px or some shit and there's no way tumblr would let me post that
