Soft as Stone - Hard as Nails … The big bright moon and icy temperatures have me continuing to turn my focus inward. I know spring is coming and am so excited for the world to open up more and more, but I've enjoyed a softening and slowing this season that has come with more gentleness and grace. Grace is a gift I now offer myself, something I used to hope for from others. At the risk of sounding overly poetic I’m feeling soft as stone. A lot of my life I tried being hard as nails. An attempt to protect myself, to serve the ego and to be big. I'm fascinated by the way our personal style reflects these identities, often subconsciously. And the dueling dualities between soft as stone and hard as nails tickles my fancy ... especially when I think about my all time fave manicure a retired shade that I stocked up on called Mojave Turquoise.
