Joohyun thinks of Yongsun, thinks of the sparkle in her eyes and the secret smile she sends every time their eyes meet.
“She’s really special isn’t she,” Joohyun delicately tucks a strand of hair behind Byulyi’s ear, the same way she’s seen Byulyi do for Yongsun a million times.
“She’s my entire universe.” Byulyi murmurs, not even giving Joohyun a glance, so enraptured was she, just by the thought of her leader. It made the older woman giddy, somehow. Oh what it was, to be ignored for a change.
“Maybe that’s why she won’t love you back.” Joohyun remarks with quite a bit of amusement in her tone. Byulyi’s temper briefly flares from having her feelings trivialized, but she calms down, because it’s just Joohyun.
In the end, it’s just Joohyun.
“What do you mean? I would do anything for her.” Byulyi pulls away from the gentle petting to meet the other woman’s eyes. Joohyun admires the apathy they hold for her, irritation even, in this moment.
“And I’m saying that’s where you fail.” She smiles gently.
“How would you know?” Byulyi snorts, rolling to the other side so that Joohyun only has her back to answer to.
Undeterred, Joohyun slides an arm around Byulyi’s waist and fits her chin into the crook of her neck.
“Oh Byul,” She sighs, musically, and Byulyi feels the hairs on her neck raise, the warm breath of Joohyun gliding over her cheek as she presses her soft lips right on Byulyi’s ear.
“I know a thing or two about being worshiped.”
