Azriel is the most boring of the bat boys. I get why people are intrigued by him because he has the potential to be interesting but right now, he's just not to me. In my opinion, he's another Walmart version of Rhys but not as rich or suave or with enough personality 🤷🏻‍♀️

I always believe that what's yours doesn't miss you and truly, as disappointing as this may be sometimes, if a door closes another one will open. It may not be as you expect it or want it but other opportunities will show up, you have to allow yourself to take them.

Dude you could see the whole arranged marriage arc play in this set! They are very reluctant and quite angry, then playful flirting by finding common ground on the fact that they did not want it but hey could have been for ced to marry someone worse and. Then you see them on the military camp assessing things and they can feel that they are on sync and are quite similar. Things start heating, add more angst, “is it me you want or are you just playing into the marriage” kinda thing. In a political meeting that they will laugh about after because everyone is so dumb. And then we finish with a “I know you love me” “I do, I do love you” cue the *smirk* “I knew it”.

I think what I like the most about her work is her characters. I can’t tell you how much I love aelin and her squad, how much I wish dorian and lucien were real, how much I freaking love and relate to nesta and how she’s the best character in the series. I think sjm writes characters well and romantic relationships even better.

I know there’s been a lot of criticism, a lot of it of course valid, but sometimes I see stuff and I just … scroll past. I’m here to have a good time and I choose not to get hung up over things other people do. like, if you really want to, you can pick apart any book or book series there is.

and writing characters and character dynamics is what sjm does very well imo. I’m also actually very pleasantly surprised by the plot and world building of crescent city so far. acotar and tog were rather easy to get into, but reading cc, it ook me quite a while to understand the world (and I mean this positively!). I love reading series and struggling to understand the world building at the beginning because it’s a lot of fun to discover a new world, at least for me lmao. and then I also looooved this detective story we kinda got in cc, so that series definitely has me hooked and I can’t wait for the next book :)

But really, it’s fine haha. People are just...really vocal about things they dislike. This particular “ship war” is a popular one so this isn’t the first time I’ve gotten a meanie anon.
