Dreamhaven and Moonshot Games' Wildgate is a team-based shooter that also boasts spaceship combat and resource gathering. You are Prospectors (dibs on the name Old Man Jenkins) and you are searching for the Artifact. You can win by escaping the procedurally generated anomaly known as The Reach, with treasures of course, or by eliminating all the other Prospectors. What will be your tactic? Send out probes to search for loot and dangers? Mine? Invade and sabotage your opponents? Fight them in ship battles?

Wildgate is expected to launch for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in 2025.

Ex-Bungie Devs Reveal Fallen Frontier

Three former Bungie developers have formed a new studio, and with it revealed new information about their upcoming side scrolling shooter. Moonshot Games, the creation of ex-Bungie developers Michel Bastien, Damián Isla, and Rob Stokes, announced their first game today entitled Fallen Frontier. This 2D shooter tells the story of a man who ventures into the vastness of space with one goal and one goal only: vengeance. The story unfolds as a "noir style mystery", and this jaded lawman soon discovers the world of Alpha Centauri isn't all that it seems to be.

According to the official site, you will use "firearms, grenades, and various special abilities" to "confront, confound, and conquer your enemies". The game will feature a single player campaign as well as co-operative play, fast paced tactical combat, and unique worlds to explore in an original sci-fi universe.

Moonshot Games has yet to announce which platforms it will be released on or when. However, the studio will be showing off the game at this year's PAX East in Boston, MA.
