Notocochlis cernica Jousseaume, 1874

Notocochlis cernica is a species of moon snail, a type of predatory sea snail that feeds on other mollusks by using acidic secretion to drill holes into their shells. Nighttime is when they hunt as they slide through the sandy bottoms of reefs using their well developed feet. And by snail standards they're actually quite fast!
