What if I drew lasat again?
Okay but when will we see the short brown Lasat subspecies?
Were those the prototype Lasat that showed up in the original concept art for Star Wars?
Can I just come into your inbox and rant about Jaro Tapal because WAY TO WATER DOWN ALIEN DESIGN STAR WARS WHY WOULD YOU TAKE A MAJESTIC LEMUR TIGER AND TURN IT INTO ORC-EARED THANOS WITH A VOLDEMORT NOSE YOU TAKE THAT THING BACK AND GIVE ME A LASAT WITH FUR DOGGONE IT
It’s a good thing I gave my friend the o-kay to give me spoilers for the fallen jedi or else I wouldn’t know what you were talking about hah!I absolutely agree. How could they get rid of the signature giant green eyes? But I also have to say that I’m glad to have anything regarding the lasats, especially after Rebels ended. I was worried the entire species would have been thrown into the abyss so to see Jaro show up in a video game is pretty awesome - despite the look.
Heyyyy great news for Zeb and hazel they are gonna have kids!!!!!
That’s exciting haha! Best of wishes xp <3
So, thinking about the other day’s discussion of Jaro Tapal... another thing that bugs me about him is the same thing that bugged me about two of the Gand Jedi from the Clone Wars era, Vaabesh and Tyffix: once again canon lore makes a point of giving us a Cool Alien Jedi from a species that ALREADY HAS ITS OWN NATIVE FORCE TRADITION (the Findsmen for the Gand, the Chava-type shamans for the Lasat). Am I just weird, or is anyone else rubbed a bit wrong by that? Curious to hear your thoughts.
I wasn’t aware about Vaabesh or Tyffix so I can’t really speak about them but I love the Lasat so I can at least say something about that. I won’t get tin-foil hatty but I think that the people who designed and wrote him weren't too concerned about the Lasat tradition - which is unfortunate because I think if it were the case - Jaro could have taught in different ways that might give a new perspective to the force. Not just repeated stuff from the Jedi order. It’s not weird to be upset about that at all! It’s great to see the Lasat again, and so soon, but it’s not as fun if he’s written like he could be any other jedi.
Is this blog still active?
Yeah - I made a comment some time back about drawing lasats again. I will too! I was just in a tough place with drawing and handing school work with drawing but yeah you’ll be seeing me soon.
You cannot lie that the Trandoshans from the crawler episode, from the foreman that threw hands with Zeb to the little chameleon voiced by Seth Green, were not the best antagonist boys around.
I love their different looks in character design. Usually it’s what the movies had them look like in different colors - I enjoyed the variety.
I have Disney+ and I’m watching the Mandalorian, nobody touch me
