what the actual fuck is wrong with people? if someone followed them to their hotel, wouldn't you think that'd make them uneasy? why is it okay to them to do it to celebrities?

That’s a great fucking question. I would love to meet him, but no fucking way am I ever going to stalk him to his hotel. I know when I had a guy follow me home it freaked me the fuck out, so I can completely understand why he would be so upset. It doesn’t get the ‘fan’ brownie points with him either. It’s fucking creepy.

So, I’m a big Picasso fan (despite his issues). One of his paintings, my favorite of all time, is on display in an art gallery in Madrid. I finally have the opportunity to travel there and I’m sick. The worst cold of my entire life. So all I want to do is get in, see and admire the painting, and leave. But I get LOST in this gigantic place. When I finally stumble across the right room almost 30 minutes later, I’m not expecting it and it feels like my heart stops. Guernica is a mural sized painting and I spent almost a decade studying it throughout high school and college. When I finally got to see it, it felt like meeting an old friend.

Cuddles and a Movie

I feel like such a flake, but I think I may be finally catching up on some way over due writing. I’m sorry that this is so late, but real life, depression and all that stuff can prevent you from doing something you enjoy.  I am my own worst critic and when you’re not totally into it you feel like you’re just wasting people’s time.  Anyway I’m sorry for this being late, but here it is. 

Title: Cuddles and a Movie Author: @averyrogers83 Warnings: fluff Word Count:   Pairings: Bucky Barnes x Reader Summary: You had been feeling under the weather which resulted in missing out on Tony’s annual Halloween bash.  Lucky for you someone thought spending time with you was more important than being around a crowd of people. A/N: This is purely fictional even though the locations are real.  This is for my submission to @moonstruckbucky

Natasha and Wanda insisted that you stay in bed and get better, even though you were adamant that you were feeling better and wanted to attend Tony's annual Halloween party.  You never missed Tony’s parties especially the Halloween bash since you joined the team five years ago.  Halloween was one of your favorite holidays and every year you tried to find just the right costume months in advance.  This year you were going to go as a Ninja assassin, with fake Katana blades and the works, but since your last mission you had been feeling out of sorts and knew you were coming down with something.  

So, there it sat, your costume sad and lonely in the closet forced to wait until the next year when you could take it out and show it off.  

Nat and Wanda looked amazing in their costumes.  Hell those two could wear a paper bag and they’d still look amazing.  Not saying that you didn’t look good yourself.  If you weren’t sick, you'd be able to turn a head or two your way.  

“Hey we’re heading out….”

“Yeah, yeah...go have your fun…”You cut her off.

“Don’t be like that, we just want you to get better” Wanda looked with hurt filled eyes.

“I know, I’m just bummed I can’t go” you mumbled.

“Get some sleep you grump” Nat smiled before leaving the room. “If you need anything let F.R.I.D.A.Y know, she’ll get us” Nat called out as her voice trailed off as she made her way down the hall.

You mumbled to yourself how you’d get back at her for being mean and making you stay in your apartment.  As you tried to think of the many ways you could get back at her, you ended up falling asleep.  When you woke you had a headache and could barely open your eyes due to still feeling groggy.   Nat or Wanda must have come to check on you because when you woke there was a bottle of water and some meds sitting on your bedside table.  

Thankful for your friends you took the meds.  No sooner had you lay your head back down, you heard a crash in the kitchen.  Startled you got up and made your way to where the noise came from. What you found is definitely not what you had expected.  You stood by the doorway mouth slightly agape.  Bucky mumbled to himself as he picked up the pots that fell on the floor as he attempted to cook.

It was so cute watching Bucky try to cook.  You could have watched him all night and would have been undetected if it wasn’t for the sudden urge to cough up a lung that made him stop what he was doing and look at you

“Hey Y/N, sorry I woke you...I was” he looked so sad and defeated

“It’s ok. What ya doing?” You tried to hide your smile, he looked so cute when he pouted.

“So….why aren’t you at the party?” You walked over to help Bucky

There was no answer at first, Bucky just looked down at the floor and shuffled his feet before he finally found the words.

“I don’t really like parties much, besides…”he trailed off

“Besides what?”

“Besides. I was worried about you.

You knew you looked ridiculous with your red nose and huge grin from ear to ear, but you didn’t care.  

“Bucky..”  You asked as the two of you finished cooking “would you like to stay and watch some movies with me?”

“Are you sure you’re up for some company?”

“Definitely.  I need someone to protect me from the scary bad guys.”

Back in the room you turned on the tv and scrolled through the horror movies and got settled back in your bed with the covers pulled up close and Bucky next to you.  He seemed hesitant at first, but you insisted he sit next to you.  You weren’t really into horror movies, but since Bucky was in your room you thought you’d take advantage of it and find a way to get closer to him.

You started off with 28 Days Later which you both found more quirky then scary, then a classic Friday the Thirteenth, you jumped once or twice, but then Bucky suggested you end the night with the remake of Steven King’s IT.

From the moment the movie started you could feel your heart race from anxiety.  You hated clowns.  You hated them from the time you saw the original version of the movie as a child.  When the moment came and the poor little boy was taken by Pennywise you practically jumped into Bucky’s lap and screamed as you pulled the covers over your eyes.  

Bucky wrapped his arm around you and pulled you close and you could feel yourself start to relax in his warmth.  Before long you had fallen asleep cuddled up close to him and smiling at how comfortable it felt.  Imagine your surprise when you woke up the next morning he was still there, your head on his chest and his arms wrapped securely around you.  

It was the best night’s sleep either of you had gotten in a long time, and the best way to spend your favorite holiday.
