idk if this is a weird question but what's your opinion on all the speculation around jafaar and maddie lately?? like do you think people read too much into their relationship or do you think fans can usually tell when something is off?? i'm genuinely curious because i've seen so many different opinions about it
okay so i was actually talking about this with one of my mutuals recently and i pretty much agree with her take on the whole situation @strawberrykittymp3 @boredpretty @melaninjoys
and before i say anything, this is just MY opinion and i'm sharing it respectfully. nobody has to agree with me, and i'm completely open to hearing different perspectives as long as people are respectful about it.
personally, i just don't really see jafaar and maddie getting married. they've been together for around 10 years now, and from my perspective i honestly couldn't imagine waiting 10+ years for a ring that's just me though. everybody's relationships move at different paces and what works for one couple might not work for another.
there are also certain things i've noticed over the years that just make me personally question the relationship sometimes. one thing i've always noticed is that maddie seems very attached to him in public, while sometimes jafaar comes across as uncomfortable or awkward to me. now obviously i don't know these people personally, and body language can be interpreted differently by different people, so i'm not claiming anything as fact. these are just observations and opinions i've had.
another thing that personally makes me doubt that they'll eventually get married is honestly the amount of time that's passed without much seeming to change. i know marriage isn't everybody's goal, but after a decade together, i personally feel like if marriage was something both people really wanted, it probably would've happened already. that's just my opinion 😭
and let's be honest, these are people with very public lives. obviously they don't owe us every detail of their relationship, and i'm sure there are things we don't know. but i do think that if there was any serious wedding planning happening, we probably would've seen some kind of hint by now. not necessarily an announcement, but something. and personally, i just don't feel like we've seen anything that gives me "wedding soon" vibes.
and honestly??? one thing i would absolutely LOVE to know is what the rest of the family thinks not because they owe us that information, but because i'm nosy and genuinely curious. especially jermajesty because i'm sorry, that man gives me messy energy and i know he'd have opinions 😭
at the end of the day, none of us truly know what goes on behind closed doors, and maybe they're perfectly happy and i'm completely wrong. this is just my opinion based on what i've seen publicly.
and just a little note: disagreement is perfectly fine, disrespect isn't. if anybody wants to discuss this, please do so respectfully because rude comments, personal attacks, or disrespect toward anybody involved will simply be deleted and blocked. 💜
