Lol, I was actually looking at this already when I first saw the list and like… Yeah, it’s gotta be Emi asking it, isn’t it?

And I agree with everyone else who’s had Jamil deal with this, where Jamil’s response would be just some kind of deadpan look.

Like, he knows Emi’s not the sort to be “testing” him, so he doesn’t take it too seriously, but come on, what kind of question is that?

“Well, at least you’d be easier to look after,” he says with a totally casual shrug and goes back to whatever he was doing - trying to hide his smirk when hears the indignant sound Emi makes for getting such an unsatisfactory response.

10. Who plays with whose hair?

Emi is definitely itching to practice some braiding and hairdos on Jamil’s. On the other hand, we’ve already established that Jamil’s willing to help with dying Emi’s hair and stuff.

Still, I think Emi does it more, just toying with Jamil’s braids and all the jewelry he’s got on his hair. (Sometimes Jamil gives her a warning look, sometimes he just resigns himself to his fate, sometimes it’s kinda (very) nice. Really depends on how set he is on keeping his hair nice and tidy.)

When Jamil does it, it tends to be a bit more utilitarian, though he’s not above pampering Emi like that.

61. How would they describe their S/O in one word?

Emi: home

Jamil: caring

Both of them think for a moment before saying it. Jamil also considers warm and kind as options, but this is what he settles on. Really, sometimes Emi cares a little too much, as far as he’s concerned.

Emi, for her part, doesn’t really hesitate with her choice, once she finds it. It just seems fitting.

I love it how I was like, oh, these asks seem pretty specific for NRC students, probably no need to even mention aunt Nerine here, I’ll just get Emi asks… But turns out the meddler esteemed lady has garnered some interest, lol.

(also y’all have prompted me to actually maybe figure out some details of her backstory by making me think of her more so that’s a plus. assuming I'll commit to the drama approach but I think I shall)

1. Do you have a song that represents your OC, if so why?

I was about to go trawling through my music library to figure something out, but then In the Hall of the Mountain King popped into my head. I feel like it’s a pretty good representation of the creeping intensity you might get dealing with her (because if at first you don’t bend to her whims, she will redouble her efforts until you have no choice).

But it could do with a bit more fluff and sparkles, so I went looking and found these:

8. Is there a character your OC doesn’t like, if so why?

She’s not a fan of anyone who doesn’t let her do what she wants, but as of now, I don’t really know of anyone she’d particularly dislike. Might change once I figure out more about her, though.

9. Who is their favorite staff member? Why?

I imagine she doesn’t interact with the staff overly much - on campus, they tell her to get lost, and off-campus I’m not sure if they’re much more fond of her. But I suppose she can have some sway with Crowley (I mean, if he’s fae, he probably knows of her more than the others) and even mess with him, which she can quite enjoy.

Emi’s surprise soon turns into an eager look, and she takes the cup with both hands - quickly adjusting her hold when she realizes just how hot it is.

“Thank you! Much appreciated,” she says with a smile.

Tentatively, Emi takes a sip, her expression brightening when the smooth flavor melts on her tongue.

“Mmm, lovely,” she sighs happily.

There’s something tugging at the back of Emi’s mind - a half-forgotten memory, like most of her recollections of her own world. Snow, chatter, ski slopes…

She hides the bittersweet tinge of her expression with another sip of the warm drink - though she can’t help but wonder when she might have the opportunity for some skiing again.
