Ian Brady and Myra Hindley

Ian Brady and Myra Hindley killed 5 children between 1963 and 1965, in Greater Manchester, England. Aged between 10 and 17 years old, thier victims were sexually assaulted before being brutally murdered. Three of the victims were discovered in graves dug on Saddleworth Moor and the last victims body found at Brady’s house, the whereabouts of the fourth victim, Keith Bennett remains unknown. Both Brady and Hindley were later sentenced to life imprisonment. Hindley dying in prison in 2002. Brady has since been confined in the maximum security Ashworth Hospital where he remains on hunger strike to this day.

Ian Brady, aged 28 and Myra Hindley, aged 24 in court for the Moors murders trial. Judge Fenton Atkinson imposed three concurrent life sentences to Ian and Myra was given two concurrent life sentences for the murders of Edward Evans and Lesley Ann Downey. The judge said at the end of trial that these were "Three calculated, cruel, cold blooded murders."
