This was a huge experiment in me trying to figure out new techniques for lighting. It's supposed to look like they're being lit up by an undersea volcano. (Because even as mer-people these two are into dangerous dates.) Essek's lower half is inspired by an eel. Caleb's is inspired by a goldfish or koi.
