Entitlement has collided with reality.

Power assumed applause.

Artists chose autonomy instead.

Refusing to be folded into a political rebrand has been treated as provocation rather than choice. As if participation were mandatory. As if legitimacy could be claimed on demand.

This is what happens when you slap your name on a prestige institution and expect culture to comply.

You don’t get applause.

You get refusal.

The Lemkin Institute condemns Israel's terrorist attacks against Lebanese people in the past two days.

Using exploding pagers and walkie-talkies, it has killed 29 Lebanese people and wounded at least 3,200, including 9- year-old Fatima Abdullah and an 11-year-old boy.

Israel is a genocidal state that is completely out of control and supported by a Western world that is too racist and Islamophobic to care.

We call on all nations of moral conscience to intervene immediately to stop this slaughter of Arab peoples before the whole world is drawn down into the breathtaking moral collapse and darkness we all see before our eyes.
