a reason to run [closed]
Ā Ā The Thief had been on her own for a while.Ā
Ā Ā Amelia Larkin, being as selfish as she was, had ruined a quasi-family as quickly as she had helped build it. Feelings were in all the wrong places and words went wild. It had sent both her and Lacie on the run, and even when reconciliations had begun, she knew she could never clean up all the collateral damage. So after some time, the hunter and the demon went their separate ways as well.Ā
Ā Ā She had grown a couple years older, a couple years wiser, and collected a few more battle scars and stories. She often thought about how she acted and regretted it, but she knew as well as anyone else that there was no going back. (And she also knew that time travel had a cute little habit of fucking things up, so there wasnāt much of a use in trying.) All she could do was learn.Ā
Ā Ā But...
Ā Ā She needed Lacie back. And she knew it too.
Ā Ā So when she spotted her just across the way, investigating at the same crime scene, Amelia knew this might be her only chance for a long while to set things straight.Ā
Ā Ā āĀ ... Funny seeinā you here-- who gave you the drop on the vampires in town? āĀ
