     Impish,  a predator toying with his food for a momentary refrain from the droll that has already settled in his bones merely sitting there hour after hour,  seated upon a pedestal of rubble before the wires simply watching.  He finds this opportunity in a hero,  so boastful about their alignment with the stars  (whatever those are)  and virtuous in their self-praise that the fae can’t help but target them as prey.  It’s cat and mouse,  letting them pretend that a back and forth exists at all,  entertaining their attacks with surprisingly animated dodges.

     Even from afar the pair are distinguishable and one on his own is no exception;  Malleus barely has the time to process the second unexpected Night Raven student before he’s being shoved towards him.  Just a bit more and he would have toppled the both of them to the ground,  exhilaration hitching his breath when he steadies them,  hand hooking quickly to yank the other upright.  Eyes glimmer and he turns from his opponent to properly face Jade for the first time.

     “Ah,  Octavinelle.... something or other:  so you have found yourself in this strange place,  and at such an opportune time to top it off.  Isn’t this much more immersive and riveting than Professor Vargas’ repetitive exercises?”
