HOLMESTICE SUMMER PROMPT FEST IS OPEN FOR PROMPTS!
Holmestice is a twice-annual anonymous gift exchange for all Sherlock Holmes universes, timed to culminate on the winter and summer solstices. All digitally-giftable media types are welcome (art, fic, podfic, vids, etc.). All ratings and all Holmesian characters, pairings, and moresomes are welcome as well.
This round will be a low-key, low-stress prompt fest! No anonymity this time, and matching is all self-directed. Leave a prompt, pick up a prompt. Posting of works begins on June 1.

I love this fest because it’s so inclusive - ALL versions of Sherlock Holmes, yes, ALL of them. Any characters, any pairings, no Holmes barred.
ACD and BBC are of course the most popular, but it’s a wonderful source for works in the lesser-known weirder branches of the Holmes multiverse. If you’ve got a rare fave, give it a pitch, you’ve got nothing to lose!
Have you ever seen HBO Asia's "Miss Sherlock"?
Yes, I have! Miss Sherlock is a little too beholden to BBC Sherlock for me to be in love with it, but it had its moments.
A recent East Asian adaptation that I do love, and would love to see get more attention from Anglophone fans, is Korea’s Mystery Queen. I’ve only seen the first season so far, but I love Holmes and Watson both individually and together, the cases are heart-breaking, and the show slathers on the fanservice on with a trowel. (Meet-cute to 3GAR in seven minutes flat!)

My second of two fics for the Holmestice Prompt fest! For @venusinthenight, who wanted: "I'd love to see some deeper exploration in regards to Irene Adler, specifically how she presents herself to the world and when she presents herself in certain ways. A bit of ACD Canon's Irene that I'm not sure has been explored (much) in more modern adaptations is how the Canon idea of her going out in "men's" clothing would be adapted to the present day, and whether she'd still identify as a cis woman or as a different gender altogether."
As Irene Adlero's career clears the runway and takes off at high speed, there comes a time to explore a few things.
I think this is the most true-to-Canon-spirit modern Irene that I know of, and it was a joy to write them.
