Ryuk says he drops the death note because he's bored but the dude has a genuine distaste for other shinigami and his realm. He thinks they're lazy, he thinks they're wasting time. He is also deeply nihilistic, like he talks about shinigami like there's no point to their existence except not dying. That they hold no value.

This is especially interesting because it reflects Light and how he sees the world as deeply corrupted. They both say "this world is rotten". Light and Ryuk are truly two peas in a pod.

and another thing...

I've been working on developing some patterns of my own. I have...3-4 in the works but I've run into several issues. Due to applying for disability I cannot market these on FB OR Insta because any sort of business profile would be 100% public (my FB is not) and stands a chance at being monitored for activity that 'I cannot do' because a person with fibro can't possibly smile much less have a good day so they did a thing!

The other issue is I have no testers other than what I can do myself (no one I know IRL is willing to do anything because 'its too hard' yet are doing things far more complicated than these hat pattersn...buh). I also have no model and I am an awful photographer. (I am the queen of pot shots)

Blergh.

I know what to do to market/sell/ etc but also cannot for reasons listed above and also -gestures at the self- I am not good at up selling myself. I'm too...autistic acting about it. Humble maybe? idk. I feel I'm not that special because when everyone's special, nobody is special and I...have never been all that special.

Except perhaps especially annoying to some people.

Falling for you was like falling from grace

I imagine that there wasn't an immediate cheering once they defeated unicron. How could they celebrate when they see Megatron desperately clawing at the god's dead carcass. They had to call on Soundwave to pull him back and get his injuries fixed (no one dared mention the fresh wounds on his hands)

A lot of mechs told Megatron that messing with Unicron's corpse could have dire consequences considering that it's still flowing with dark energon. But he knows that it didn't matter if the Chaos bringer would curse him in death, or if Primus never welcomes him to the well of all sparks. He ignored their pleas and continued to dig for any remains of him. Megatron knew he was already a dead-man walking ever since his own spark was poisoned by Unicron's blood. It didn't matter. He already loved him to the point of damnation

After several months (I'm just going to use Earth time cause it's easier) of tearing apart the dead god's corpse, he finally found him. Extremely wounded with his spark barely beating, but alive.

Honestly though, I don't think Optimus would die so easily considering he has the matrix attached to him and despite what he says about his sacrifice being necessary, he doesn't want to die, its just that, in his opinion, if someone had to carry the burden of death it should be him. Empathy has always been his greatest strength and weakness.

And remember how I hc the matrix healing his wounds quicker (albeit painfully), I like to imagine the process similar to Kintsugi (fixing broken pottery with gold). After he was scavenged out of Unicron's corpse, he looked...pretty torn. Like his entire body was shattered into multiple pieces and was barely held together. This leads to the daily occurrence of mechs averting their eyes when they see him and hesitant to speak with him regarding his current state. Op knows they're only doing it out of respect for him but he couldn't help but feel uneasy (it felt like going through the aftermath of his facial scar all over again)

Thankfully, he doesn't have to go through it alone. Enter Megatron staying by his side (he was always hovering over the prime for a good few weeks after he was retrieved) and acting body guard, which wasn't too hard since he IS lord high protector, for the duration of his healing period.

*the cracks did eventually heal, but it took about at least 2 years before they started fading.

“Could you say it one more time?”

Follow up to the previous post (this), once they solve all their issues and the angst (most of it) is over with, they become more open with talking to each other.

But they’ve gotten so used to hearing the other’s voice close to their ear from constantly talking on the phone that it feels more distant (and awkward) when talking face to face. But they can’t exactly bring it up casually so one of them makes up an excuse to get the other to just whisper what they’re saying so they could “hear it better”.

Obviously that’s a total lie but they continue on and soon whenever they’re talking to each other it kind of became a habit to just lean a bit closer when they want to say something.

I mean think about it, Optimus was an archivist and Megatron was a revolutionary and poet so it was inevitable that they both have a way with words. I always like it when writers showcase that they’re both knowledgeable and usually had each other to match up with their own wits.

This leads to a lot of rumours (mainly because people are curious as to what they’re talking about) but mostly speculation on the status of their current relationship.

I should have had Gothel steal a sundrop vial from Arianna while she was in the mirror realm!!!

Agh.

That would have been great.

Too late now.

Unless Arianna noticed after leaving the realm and hasn't yet told anybody because she's ashamed and maybe trying to get back to the mirror realm to get it back but also that's very dangerous but also...................

(we have on vial more than we were supposed to have at this point in the story due to minor changed in the outline so I mean we have to get rid of it SOMEHOW, right?)

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

This Alexis design is starting to grow on me.

Doesn't feel 100% her but I don't know entirely why that would be.

Adding the little patches to her outfit definitely helped (plus now I wanna write a one-shot of Caine teaching Alexis to sew).

And she is 20% more her the moment she gets her little Captain-hat on.

But she just lacks some... wildness. (although perhaps her not looking as excited as she sounds is part of the charm, she catches you off guard)

Extra rambles about design choices:

I have fallen in love with her jewellery. Shows she's from Bayangor but also just suits her personality.

Originally the colour of her vest was waaay brighter, also taken directly from Bayangor's limited appearance in the show. But I muted it a bit and added the patches. Making it less obvious where it's from and give it that, 'worn' look.

I played around with her missing a tiny bit of her left ear because that seems like the type of injury she'd get and find really cool while Caine is just freaking out because 'inches and you'd of lost an eye or worse!'

Plus gives stray cat vibes which is very Alexis.

Tried to make her hair messy but it ended up looking too pretty anyway.... my bad.

Gave her a knife cause it made her look more like a pirate......

Would you believe I've done courses on character design and STILL struggle this much????? XD
