So I’m reading my thoughtful, reflective post for my 2017 Summary of Art, and I’m like: YOU SWEET, OVER-AMBITIOUS SUMMER CHILD. (Get ready to get wrecked during 2018)
2018 was tough for a variety of emotional and personal reasons that took its toll on my time to draw and my energy to draw. While I think I did improve some, there’s a lot of new habits that I am NOT happy with, and that I need to fight back.
Namely, I don’t exactly like the way I color pieces anymore >B’U I want to get back to the old painterly look and energy my art used to have, but with better anatomy, haha
I also really, really need to fixate on original art. I love fanart! Don’t get me wrong! But my end goals need more of a push in the original direction.
So 2018 was ROUGH, time to fight 2019 and make steps that I want to make with my work.
