Coming Back (Alicia)
He ended up in a hotel in Ohio, switching between doing his rounds on the streets and reading the files Alicia gave him. It was so detailed at he almost felt bad about reading it, particularly the things about his mom. Her file he burned immediately. He didn't want to know any of her secrets. His dad, however, was another story. He figured out what he did to piss off Moreau as well as other facts that he didn't know. He sold drugs growing up. He got in fights for money. He smoked cigarettes since he was a boy and only quit because Liam was born.
After reading his father's file, he read his own. He had to admit, he was awfully pleased when upon opening it he saw the name Liam Moreno written on it. Sarah was better than he thought when she got rid of his name. He imagined how pissed Moreau was when he found out the file was changed with no way to find out the original. Or maybe he never found out. His own file was relatively thin for his childhood years except for a few photos, he didn't see anything, not even a birthdate. The moving around did come in handy after all. It was when his dad died that he noticed more files coming in. More pictures of him and his mom, more notes on his behavior. When he turned 18 and became a thief, that was when everything started.
It all ended up in the fire, burned and never to be revived again. He jotted down what he might need to remember but that was all that was left. Liam felt a little better after that, enough to go back to New Orleans. He felt new somehow, as if there was literally nothing left of his past other than bad memories. He hoped that maybe that would help him settle down.
He took the next flight out of Cleveland, not entirely sure what to expect. As the plane took off, he knew that he would have to talk to Alicia.
