Underutilized characters in Teen Wolf

What the hell is it with TV shows and ignoring the potential of some of their minor characters? 

Because seriously, the trend of introducing a bunch of new characters rather than exploring the narrative of existing characters fully needs to shhhtaap. 

Yeah, I'm talking about Danny Mahealani, but I'm sure y'all could think of a katrillion other examples.  

Openly gay POC connected with one of the shows main characters, WHOSE NAME LITERALLY TRANSLATES TO THE THEME OF THE WHOLE FREAKING CIRCUS (Mahealani refers to the night of the full moon) Ignored. More or less written out and put on a back-burner as a love interest and extra; but, by the way, he knows about werewolves and all the other crap in Beacon Hills, which is a fact thrown in at the end of Season Three and to my knowledge hasn't actually been otherwise addressed. 

I dont know, this is a short rant and I'm gunna go write some fics were Danny is a fully fleshed out, wicked character of this show who's plot leaves a lot to be desired and butchers all it's awesome characters. I mean, fuck.

If Danny's not in Beacon Hills then he is definitely in London helping his forever bestie with his own pack situation.  Because perhaps the benefactor's call to arms spread far and wide, sending out codes to major cities and Nematon hubs around the world, and Jackson contacted Danny immediately when a weird encrypted email showed up along with a machete wielding maniac that he and his adopted pack-sister made short order of, but he's taking no chances.  And Danny would do anything for Jackson, his platonic soulmate.  

So he convinced his parents to let him transfer to Jackson's swanky prep school for a semester, of course he moved right to the top of the waiting list, how did that happen, and shares a dorm with Jax, who had previously been rocking a roommateless situation, and together, with the help of Chloe and Jinx, they take on the Benefactor of London through cunning, hacking, stealth, and brute strength.
