11. something you want to do again next year?

ooh this is a tough one… more fic exchanges, probably! i’ve done secret santas before, but none through ao3, and both the kotlc fairytale one and the extreme timed challenge were really fun. i really enjoy multifandom exchanges specifically — there’s an added element of surprise, not knowing what you’ll get, but you also very fun to actually think about all the things you like and see which people show up in the same tags!

14. favorite book you read this year?

i’ve gotta hand it to orv, i think. stories about stories are always so fun, and orv really is just that at heart. all the character dynamics are so interesting as well. it makes you think a lot about the nature of stories and the power they hold, and the meaning they may or may not have. i also really enjoyed the poppy war by r.f. kuang and educated by tara westover!

how is the allison saft disney fairies book? i’ve enjoyed some of her other books

hello! i'm just over halfway through it. it's fun! i do like disney fairies, and there's a lot of lore and backstory and it does make some of the movies delightfully tragic. i think it would stand by itself quite well? you don't have to watch the movies to get what's going on, i think. there's some what you were taught is right vs what you feel is right, and figuring out how to be true to yourself, and manage your responsibilities, and knowing that you will never really be like everyone else, or even be able to interact with them without the Weight over all your interactions. also the romance between clarion and milori is quite sweet. the side characters are fun! i can tell you more about it once i've finished it, if you like. <3

YESSSS IT IS!!! i looove deeplight, it's one of my fav books ever:) the worldbuilding is just so intricate and I absolutely adore the ideas of like what makes a god and are the gods really gods...i think that's all soo interesting<3 yay!!
