Carrozzeria Moretti created a compact sporting estate, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Folk, based on the transaxle-equipped chassis of the Type 116 Giulietta for the 1978 Turin Motor Show. Their proposal was for a small production series; the design retained the original sedan’s rear doors and taillights to keep the cost of the conversion as low as possible. However, Alfa Romeo had no interest in pursuing the Moretti project, and the “Folk” remained a one-off.
