#Repost from @lymediseasebattle. I think anyone with a chronic illness is used to getting asked what we do with all our "free time". I wish I could give them a list, I have jam packed busy days. * It may take me ages to get out of bed judging on how my body is "behaving" that day. I may have to return to bed after eating breakfast realising it is going to be one of the days that my body needs complete and utter rest . *I spend my day planning, organising and ringing endless doctors/physios appointments etc . *I spend my time attending appointment after appointment after appointment . *I spend my time going to the pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions . *I spend my time resting and detoxing and then resting and then detoxing again . *I spend my time sorting my medication . *I spend my time researching my illness, reading new medical journals, reading anything that may help me recover . My days are not "free". In fact trying to find the balance between fighting my illness and having a life at the same time without causing a relapse is a full-time job 💚#moreunderstanding #moreawarenessneeded #lymedisease #chronicillness #chroniclymedisease #thestruggleisreal
