Calling all Merlin cosplayers! I want to make Morgana’s dress but am utterly confused by the construction of this dress. Has anyone made this before and wants to tell me how they did it?

Questions on construction:

- is the lace a stretch fabric or not?

- how are there seams in the skirt but not in the bodice at the neckline? How does this work????

- is there some sort of closure in the lace dress or is it a slip on?

- at the neckline there is a strip of skin coloured fabric barely visible. Do you have any idea what sort of material this is?

- is the green underdress shiny or mat? I can’t tell.

- are the ropes on the corset attached to the corset or just draped around it? It seems like the most unpractical thing to get in and out of the corset with all these ropes in the way

What do you do with grainy selfies? Paint over them! 😂 I had so much fun with this, it was really relaxing to just paint away over a couple of photos. Morgana has been on my cosplay list for a while, and though I don't have any canon outfits yet, her makeup is fairly easy and I've got the time; so here's a glammed up costest, courtesy of quarantine! Also, while I do think that natural makeup vs. dark/heavy makeup is a very powerful visual tool, it's usually used to denote good vs. evil, and as someone who wears dark/heavy makeup on a daily basis and someone who firmly operates in shades of grey and not absolutes... I confess I hate it. No clue when I’ll actually get around to getting a proper costume for her, but I do believe that she was the first TV character I witnessed Lotor-syndrome with, so I am definitely looking forward to creating some cathartic content for her ♡
