Rewatching merlin and I just wanna say Morgana deserved so much better. She was such a pure character and deserves the world. She was used by both sides of the movement and had to come to terms with her magic alone. She was manipulated by both Uther and her sister and even Gauis who gaslit her into thinking her magic wasn’t real and she was crazy. The only people she trusted betrayed her(in her eyes) by choosing Arthur over her (she had no idea her life force was connected to the undead knights, she thought merlin was killing her out of cold blood because of her magic).

MERLIN SPOILERS

Can we talk about how the Mordred episode in season 1 was the perfect Segway for merlin to tell Morgana about his magic. Morgana openly stated that magic isn’t a choice and Uther was wrong in condemning people for having it and risked her life to save Mordred. When she asked merlin why he was helping Mordred he should have told her the truth. Morgana would have protected him and came to him when she needed help with magic and they would have gotten through it together rather than Morgana being alone and isolated. Also if they came to Arthur together in a later season and told him they both had magic he would accept them. He grew up with Morgana as a sister figure and friend and was in love with Merlin and constantly confided in him. He already believed magic wasn’t inherently evil but others manipulation was what caused him to continue thinking magic was bad. If they came to him he would have legalized magic and protected them and Mordred would not have been a threat to him because he would not persecute his people.
