Morgana is an Obscurus?
okay, I was looking at harry potter quotes for my last post and saw this one about Ariana dumbledore,
”It destroyed her, what they did, She was never right again. She wouldn’t use magic, but she couldn't get rid of it; it turned inward and drove her mad. It exploded out of her when she couldn’t control it, and at times she was strange and dangerous. But mostly she was sweet and scared and harmless”
This made me think about Morgana. So if we applied Morgana's story to the Harry potter universe there is a HUGE CHANCE she would become an Obscurus because of Uthers hate towards magic and execution of anyone he was aware had it. We see from the very beginning she disagrees with his hate and it deeply affects her before she even knows she has magic
Next, when Morgana starts to think about or realize her magic (other than seer abilities) she starts having outbursts such as lighting her room on fire, and is confused and afraid, and feels completely out of control.
Other examples of her outbursts:
When Morgause is mortally wounded she loses all control over her power and destroys the castle
She also believes Merlin poisons her for having magic which I think is the final straw of turning her into an obscurus: (disclaimer: in no way am i blaming merlin for this, in that time he literally had no choice or arthur and all of camelot would literally die and he knew Morgause would save her// If anyone i am blaming UTHER and KILGARRAH for this mess)
Throughout the series we see her go from a smart, kind person to an evil and insane one.
Here are some examples:
-She loves and has known Gwen her entire life and Gwen NEVER did anything to betray her whatsoever but she turns on her to get a throne she didn't even care for in the first place (some may say Gwen betrayed her when she broke Leon out of Jail to save Arthur but Morgana had already tried to kill Gwen multiple times before this point 1.in the Castle of Fyrien 3x7 she tries to get Gwen and Arthur killed and 2. in Queen of Hearts 3x10 she tries to get Gwen executed)

(Gwen is scared and questioning why shes doing this but morgana has no emotion but fury which doesn’t reflect her personality which shows to me shes acting out of her control/ as an Obscurus )
-Next Morgana loves Arthur. He is literally a brother to her and he has ALWAYS defended her even against his own father. She sometimes thinks he doesn’t love her or is terrible like Uther but he ALWAYS proves her wrong by siding with her(such as helping Mordred escape, telling uther to let her out of jail, and saving Gwen when she asked him too). She HATED Uther and was obviously angry at Merlin and Gauis but she would never do anything to Arthur in her right mind. She knew he would be a good king and be better than uther. She did not even want the crown in the first place. Yet, in Season 3 after Merlin poisons her, Uther psychologically tortures her, and shes become aware of her magic she becomes a full fledged obscurus. Which I believe leads her to trying to kill Arthur in 1.in the Castle of Fyrien 3x7 2. the eye of the phoenix 3x8 and obviously The coming of Arthur 3x12-13. Just look how much she has changed in these Gifs when Arthur has done literally nothing wrong.
Before Obscurus formed:
1x7 “If anything happens to Arthur, I’ll find you, however long it takes“
After Obscurus forms:
“I want him(Arthur) dead“
5x2“I want to put his head on a spike. I want to watch as the crows feast on his eyes.“(Morgana would never say this about anyone, especially someone she loves. Also, in the scene she looks completely mad )
Before Obscurus formed: 1x11(sneaks out food to feed citizens of Camelot)
After Obscurus forms:
3x13(the knights refuse to surrender to her so she shoots at unarmed civilians)
Overall i don’t think Morgana magically just became evil. She was a great person and had the best values of most people on the show. I think she had an onscurus which shows the uncontrolled magic,hatred for everyone, and hatred for closest friends that made her turn on them.
