"Did you know that there's a new way to measure bad ideas? It's called the "Turin Scale". I mean... is your current idea a 2.0 on the Turin Scale or is it a marry your sister bad?" Melkor smirked at him, "so... how bad are your mistakes, Beleg?"

Beleg’s eyes narrowed at this. It was a struggle not to defend Turin, not to play into this game. ”My mistakes?” He let out a sharp breath, that nightmarish ‘rescue’ vividly brought to mind. “And what of yours? Your command is failing, there is only so long before you are brought to your knees.”

"I don't think that calling me evil is very fair," Melkor said quietly, leaning against Mairon's work table. "Just because I choose to do things differently than my siblings doesn't make me evil. Sure, I do often destroy things, but I'm trying to teach you all something and you're not listening..."

“When have you cared of fairness?” Mairon asked dryly, not even bothering to look at the other. He had since long ago stopped being polite to the Vala, deeming it pointless. Polite or rude, Melkor always seemed to return to the Forge, unfortunately. As if his fellow Maia’s weren’t a distraction enough, the Vala’s constant talking was making him really lost his much needed concentration.

Still keeping his gaze firmly fixed on his work, Mairon held back the urge to sigh out of sheer frustration. He was not on the mood to talk, but as always Melkor didn’t notice that. “Perhaps we are not listening because you destroy things?” he suggested.

"Oh beautiful stray child of the soul..." he purred. "The other Valar don't understand you..."

Fëanor moved slowly back, still not quite trusting the Vala enough to allow him to approach too closely. Something about the way he spoke to the Noldor made Fëanor shiver with unease...he almost seemed like a spider weaving a web, luring his flies in with promises of honey and sweetness.

He let none of his wariness show on his face however, instead projecting a mask of nonchalance and mild irritation.

“Oh, marrer of Arda...” he said heavily. “And I suppose you do?”

"You are not Thingol..." Melkor said, standing before Thranduil's great, horned throne in a less obvious illusion than the Dark Lord of All, the last thing he wanted was to draw the attention of the Valar. "Though, you have a fortress like Thingol's. Do you have trouble with dwarves and greedy Noldor as well?"

Thranduil raised his eyebrow and tilted his head, observing the stranger that stood before his throne. He did not look exactly like an elf and a lot less like a man, certainly not a peredhel too, but aside from the exotic appearance, the King didn’t note nothing unnatural. Perhaps it was just his constant distrust of the unknown. “And you are no one that I have seen before. Though, you are here, and your words sound a bit presumptuous for a complete outsider. What are your intentions?”

"Occasionally... Your unconstrained outbursts make me giggle..." Melkor said, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Mh, as long as they please my master…~" He looked up at him and gave his Melkor a cheeky grin.

Melkor leaned forward and caught his servant's chin between his fingertips, "I missed you..." he whispered, and covered his mouth with his own. "Why ever did you leave me? Have you found someone better?"

Mairon looked up at his master sadly and showed his now scarred and crippled right hand. It would not close or open all the way without extreme pain to him. “I have missed you as well my lord…Faenor’s son has taken my hand and crippled it as punishment…”

He laughs. "Not recently, I don't think. And though I've seen the devil by moonlight many a time, we never have danced." Maedhros shakes his head. "Then again, I don't really see Morgoth and Mairon as dancing types."
