Muse: #
#- I want to thank you
There was a rehash of verbatim when it came to Jeffrey. Two words spared upon glimpse of awestruck faces painted along fellow students upon the passionate 'Winger' speeches plucked idly from the air, conjured from the witty mind and silver tongue. Pride fueled Jeff. The ever growing ego drove the man to act where the 'judgey face' failed, guilt pricked on its own in his time of maturing within the walls of what he once considered the manic prison just a few short miles from his old Kingdom. Jeff was changing. It was not the school clearly insane that coaxed forth their term 'care', it had been the students that impacted him. While difficult to present this depiction of the term he considered parasitic, Jeffrey naturally supplied his attention to anything that he felt required his time. In the moments of protest, of groans and bullshit speeches to evade working, there was still one he could not overlook and present little effort. Just two words "thank you" spared from the unexpected source left the taller male standing still, head turning towards him in this moment he counted rare. The two words commonly strewn into a more arrogant "You're welcome" seemed to fall short in his gaze. This was different. Rarely was there a genuine voice of appreciation following any effort be it willing or supplied with complaint. Jeff blinked in his moment of thought, brows curving to a clear arch. He'd not be humble and say it was not necessary because he didn't know how to respond. It was one of the moments Jeff did not understand how to react to something so simple. A phrase that a simple "You're welcome" would be required at best. The features plastered seemed more surprised than prideful. The expression softened and he nodded at last. "Of course." Out of sheer luck he managed a more common reaction. Upon a turn of the head, Jeff glanced back feeling it imperative to add just one more comment. "Anytime."
